High Springs is a quaint, small, antique town located near many natural springs and rivers. Our many parks offer activities such as diving, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, tubing, swimming, and fishing. There are also many outfitters nearby to help make your outing an easy and enjoyable one. This area is still unspoiled by major development. The pace is slow, and the people are honest and friendly. Gainesville, the nearest big town with a mall and many restaurants, is only 20 minutes away.

Accommodations

The Grady House was built in 1917 as a boarding house for railroad workers. Built in the Arts & Crafts style our house boasts a large front porch where guests talk and relax. Inside you will find every room well appointed with period antiques. However, the atmosphere is comfortable, warm and welcoming. We invite our guests to make Grady House their home. Common rooms include the parlor, the dining room and the coffee room. Outside you can take a winding brick path through our gardens to the Gazebo where you can sit with friends and have a cup of coffee in the morning, or an afternoon glass of wine. Look, listen and visit with nature as the koi playfully swim in their pond and a variety of birds visit the many feeders and bird baths.

Rooms/Suites

The Grady House offers 5 rooms as well as a 2-story cottage. All rooms in the main house have private bathrooms. The Yellow room has a Queen Size bed and walk-in shower in the bathroom. The Peach & Navy rooms are both suites and have Queen size beds, clawfoot tubs/showers, and private sitting parlors. Both have daybeds to accomodate a friend or family member as well. The Green room has a King size bed, clawfoot tub/shower, and private sitting parlor with daybed and overlooks the garden. The Red Room is our romantic room. It has a King size bed, an extra large bathroom with a 2-person tub, and is decorated with over 300 classic nudes! -- Our cottage is called "Skeet's Corner Cottage." It is a 2-story Victorian built in 1896 with 2 bedrooms upstairs (1 King and 1 Queen), 1 bathroom downstairs, a family room, a parlor, and a full kitchen.

Amenities

The Grady House is famous for it's full hot breakfasts served at 9:00 every morning. Freshly baked cookies are provided in the afternoon and can be accompanied by tea or coffee. Before dinner, you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer in the parlor or garden. Local restaurants are just blocks away.

Services Offered

The Grady House offers breakfast in your room upon request. We can also arrange for flowers, champagne, or anything else you can think of to be ready upon your arrival. Next door is The Wellness Spa which offers massages and specialty baths.

Policies & Restrictions

We welcome well behaved children over the age of 10 in the company of thoughtful adults. We do not allow pets. There is no smoking inside the buildings, but smoking is permitted on the porches and outside areas.

EXTRA PERSON IS $20/night

Skeet's Corner Cottage - $210/night for up to 4 people.
Skeet's Corner Cottage has a 2-night minimum.

Directions

From Interstate 75 take exit 399. Take US441 north to High Springs. Take a left on Main Street; take a right on NW 1st Avenue. We are 4 1/2 blocks on the right hand side of the road (420 NW 1st Avenue).
