Beautiful mid coast area of Maine where the mountains of the Camden Hills state Park area come down almost to the ocean's edge and is know as "where the mountains meet the sea." Camden is often described as New England's prettest little seacoast village and attracts thousands of visitors each year from all over the world to its picturesque Harbor and quaint village center with its unique shops and restaurants and a variety of upscale historic Bed and Breakfast Inns.

Accommodations

The Camden Windward House is one of Camden's (and New England's) finest Inns and has become a favorite of many traveler's from around the world who appreciate its beautiful decor and comfortable accommodations. The Inn reflects its 1854 heritage with many of the lovely features of the original house fully restored reflecting the home's 19th century warmth and charm in the unique architectual features blended smoothly with modern amenities desired by today's travelers. The guest rooms are spaced throughout the house to provide privacy yet convenient to the common Inn facilities. Breakfast is served daily between 8:00 and 9:30 am (8:30 - 9:30 Nov. to June) with a menu choice of at least 8 different items for your selection that are prepared "to order" in our dining room with 4 tables. Relax in our comfortable living room or 2nd floor library or in our spacious back yard with its views of Mt. Battie.

Rooms/Suites

All of the rooms and suites in the Camden Windward House Bed & Breakfast Inn have Queen or King beds, private baths, air conditioning, color cable tv, and direct dial phones w/dataports. Most rooms also have large sitting areas with larger tv's and vcr's, fireplaces, canopy beds, and tubs as well as showers in the bath. Our two signature rooms are our largest rooms and have a private deck or balcony, even larger tv's & a vcr and a Jacuzzi whirlpool tub in the bath.

Policies & Restrictions

The Inn is not set up to accommodate pets and is most suitable for children 10 or older.

Rates & Availability

Rates range by room and by season. For the 2002/3 season, rates range from $169 to $265 in the Summer/Fall season. During Nov to the end of Dec. and May to mid June, the rates run $125 to $199 and from Jan. to the end of April, the rates range from $99 to $169.

Directions

Camden is on Coastal Rt. 1 just north of Rockland, Maine. The Camden Windward House Bed & Breakfast Inn is located at 6 High Street which is just one block north of Camden center, 2 houses north and accross the street from the Camden Library which is located at the top of the hill overlooking the Harbor.
