Description of Surrounding Area

La Conner is a historic fishing village with 100 unique shops, galleries and antique stores. There is fine dining and casual dining, and everything is walking distance from our B&B. We are 25 minutes to the Deception Pass Bridge that takes you to Whidby Island or 25 minutes in another direction that gets you on a ferry to go explore the San Juan Islands. 1 1/2 hours northeast is Mt. Baker which is great snow skiing. There are many bird varieties in the Skagit Valley and lovely farmlands.

Description of Accommodations

Inside we have a lovely parlor with a large library of books. There is an antique pump organ in the dining room for you musical people. Outside our 4 lots are surrounded by a white picket fence with many gardens, pond & waterfall. There are many areas to sit and read or relax including a strombella (a loveseat-sized swing) -

Description of Rooms/Suites

Our four guestrooms all have their own bathrooms, antiques and a cozy, romantic decor.

The suites have gas log stoves.

Amenities

We serve fresh cookies and milk at Bedtime.
We have a wonderful hot tub available year around. It is under the gazebo out on the deck and we keep it at 100 degrees so you can have a long soak and visit without having your heart race from too much heat.
Restaurants are all in walking distance and range from the very casual and simple fare to very fine dining. Because we are a tourist town, there is no dress code in any of the restaurants.

Services Offered

We offer breakfast at the dining room table or on a silver tray at your door.

There are massage services in town a few blocks away.

There are bikes to rent in town, and boat rides that include a meal or all day boat rides that go whale watching.

No smoking in the house - there are ashtrays out on the porches, upstairs and downstairs.

Other Information

We are half-way between Seattle Washington & Vancouver, BC, Canada. We are 10 minutes west of Mt. Vernon which is right on I-5 at that half-way point.

Directions

From the south take exit 221 off I-5, left (west) over freeway and take the first right that says to La Conner. You are now on a country road which will bring you right to La Conner in 10 minutes. Watch for all the little county signs and as you enter La Conner you will be on Morris Street. Take a left on Second, left up the hill on Washington & we are on the corner of Third & Washington. From the north take exit 230 & head west on Hwy 20. Follow the signs to La Conner & follow above directions to Katy's Inn
