85th Street Guest House & Apartments

Ten minutes North of Downtown and about 1 mile NW of Greenlake. Easy access to Interstate 5 and only 1 1/2 blocks West of Aurora (Hwy 99) that runs directly downtown. You can be at the Pike Place Market in 10 minutes. The Univerasity of Washington is 10 minutes to the South East and Puget Sound and the Shilshoal Marina area is about 8 minutes to the West.

The building from the street is a 1930's 1/2 timbered English Tudor style house that has had a 4 story addition added in the Tudor style to the rear in 1992. The main house can sleep 2-10+, the attic suite 2-4, and each of 4 other self contained suites can sleep 2-6. All have their own kitchens and bathrooms as well as separate entrys. Some units can be tied together so groups of up to 25-30 can have reunions and family gatherings in what can be a very large house that can be adjusted in size and price to fit your needs.

Our goal is to provide PRIVACY (all our spaces are only shared by the guests own group) as each space is self contained...ie your own bath and kitchen. We do not live on site so this is NOT a situation of you having to go thru common areas to get to your rooms. CLEAN, DECENT, and REASONABLE. Sory no mints on the pillows, turndown service, airport pick-up, or breakfast in bed....unless you make it yourself. BUT you will find us the best lodging value in the North End of Seattle. Yes you will find coffee, tea, pop, juice, eggs, fruit, cereals, milk, jams and jelly,breads and misc other food-stuffs along with utensils in the kitchens AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.

All suites have Color TVs and VCRS and cable. The main house, suite 3, suite 4, and the tower suite have air.

We provide stocked refers at no extra cost....you are the cook but that does give you the privacy that a lot of our guests like. Maid service is as needed but we basically clean when you leave but for stays of 7 days or longer expect cleaning every 3-4 days.

WE LOVE CHILDREN OF ALL AGES!!!!!!! We have cribs, hi-chairs, gates, toys, videos etc and we welcome your kids! Sorry we do not accept pets and smokers must go outside. (Our smoke dectors are all over and very sensitive!! Besides it makes it much nicer for our guests with allergies. Most of the suites and the main house have airconditioning.

We love large groups and have done many wedding, graduation, and family reunions since we can house up to about 30 people. We are just a happy to see you as a single here for a week of meetings or as grandpa and grandma here in Seattle for the birth of a new baby. We get all kinds of visitors from the long term assignment person working on a software project to the B&B owner from Alaska here on her yearly shopping trip to the big city. We host people coming to conventions, buyers coming to the gift shows, and LOTS of familys who are suprised to find a place that WELCOMES their kids.

From Downtown Seattle take the I-5 freeway about 8 minutes North to the 85th street exit and that exit will force you to head West. In about 2 minutes you come to AURORA AVENUE. Cross Aurora Avenue (also marked Highway 99) and go 1 and 1/2 blocks UPHILL on 85th and the guest house is on the left (SOUTH) side of the street.

From the North go past the NORTHGATE shopping center exit at 110th and take the next exit at 85th street keeping in the right lane and heading West on 85th. About 2 minutes to Aurora Avenue, cross Aurora and continue up hill 1 1/2 blocks. The guest house is on the left (South) side of the street.
