Holbrook House is located in Bar Harbor on Mt Desert Island and surrounded by Acadia National Park. Be the first to see the sunrise in the U.S. from atop Cadillac Mountain, the highest peak on the Eastern seaboard, hike some of the 120 miles of trails in Acadia, bike the carriage roads where no motorized vehicles are allowed or relax on sailing cruises in Frenchman's Bay and whale watching. There is something for everyone in Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island.

Accommodations

The Holbrook House is a lovely Victorian showplace built in 1876 with ten tastefully decorated guest rooms and two 2 bedroom cottage suites. Guests enjoy our large front porch where refreshments are served each afternoon. The restaurants and shops of Bar Harbor are just a short walk from our Inn.

All of our rooms are decorated differently and most have queen size beds, some with canopies and all have private baths.

Amenities

A gourmet breakfast is included in the room rate, along with afternoon refreshments.

Policies & Restrictions

Smoking is allowed only on the front porch and the inn is not suitable for children under age 12.

Rates & Availability

The inn is open from early May through October. Rates range from $75 to $225 per night depending on the season.

From Ellsworth take Rte 3 to Bar Harbor, turn left at the first stop sign in Bar Harbor and the Holbrook House is one block on the right.
