The foothills are gorgeous and hold plenty of game. Seeing herds of deer , elk , and mountain sheep are common. Coyotes, eagles, heron, foxes, wolves, badgers and moose are often spotted.

Accommodations

Chinook Garden is a 2600 sq. ft. split level home with a very open plan. The large windows bring the light and outdoors inside and invite one to go exploring the ravine and nature paths outside the back door. The front attached garage or off street parking is available for vehicles.
We have a comfortable living room for intimate tete-a tete. The family room is equipped with a home theatre and sound system. The breakfast area is casual to semi-formal and affords casual and mountain views.
Relax on 2 decks and 2 ground level patios which afford sun or shade at all times of the daylight hours. An abundance of flowers and plants flood the property with colour.

Rooms/Suites

The bed & breakfast accommodation has a suite of two rooms with a private bath. The suite looks east to the BIG HILL, a favorite spot for hang-gliders and para-gliders.
Also on the second floor is a large master bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a jetted jacuzzi and shower ensuite. This room has a large picture window facing west to an uninterrupted view of the historic Cochrane Ranche and the Canadian Rockies.

The Western Heritage Center just 5 minutes away has conference facilities. There are 38 eating establishments in Cochrane and their names reveal the character of the town; Blue Dog Cafe, Ducks on the Roof, Home Quarter, the Texas Gate, Canyon Rose Cafe, Barbarossa, Joe Baily's and Poco Loco Pizza are some of the recommended eateries.
