Description of Activity/Tour

General Description:
Every year, students of all ages (16-75 years), and from many countries and professions, attend Eurolingua's numerous language, cultural, special interest and summer programmes worldwide. Students include private individuals, mature teenagers, university and MBA students, teachers, doctors, professional and business people, corporate executives, diplomats and embassy staff, government employees, military personnel and retired people.

One-to-One Homestays (16-75 years):
Live and study abroad for 1 to 4 weeks, on a full-board basis, in the private family residence of a Eurolingua tutor. You benefit from intensive one-to-one, professional language tuition, enjoy local excursions and share usual family social, cultural and leisure activities. Total immersion in the language, culture and way of life is guaranteed. We collect you at and return you to the nearest airport or railway station. Programmes are available all year.

Group Programmes (16-75 years):
You benefit from a minimum of 15 hours (20 lessons) per week tuition in small friendly groups at one of our Institutes, with cultural visits and leisure activities. In order to maintain linguistic and cultural continuity, accommodation is with a selected, local host family. Studio apartments are also available. Open all year, with and special programmes during the summer.

The Eurolingua Institute teaches 9 languages in 29 countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA and Venezuela.

Typical Day

Each Institute offers a wide range of programmes for students wishing to learn or improve their Spanish. There are programmes in General Spanish, Commercial Spanish and Hispanic Studies. You will always learn the language with a background of information about life and attitudes in Spain.

The programmes are designed to make our students feel confident in everyday use of the language in a wide range of social situations. From the very first day, Spanish is the only language spoken in class. Teaching is based on modern methods using modern equipment. In addition to up-to-date text books, our Institute has developed materials to add variety to your programme.

Lessons take place in the mornings, Monday to Friday, and sometimes in the afternoons according to student numbers. In order to ensure the highest efficiency, groups are kept very small to a maximum of 8. Upon arrival, students take a placement test to ensure they join the most suitable group.

Sleeping and meals

Half-board (breakfast and lunch) with a selected host family. Private apartments for one or two people are also available.

Other Information

Málaga, Costa del Sol:
The Costa del Sol is a 150 km long with calm waters, permanently blue skies, beautiful beaches, hills, mountains, lakes, forests, traditional villages, towns and historic cities. Málaga, named "the city of paradise" by Nobel Prize winner Vicente Aleixandre, is the capital of this lovely region. It enjoys an extraordinarily mild climate with an average temperature of 22°c and 330 sunny days !! It was founded by the Phoenicians and has been a Roman colony and a Moorish city, reflected in its many monuments such as the Roman Theatre and the Arab Alcazaba.

Granada:
Granada is one of the most magical places in the world. Thanks to its geographical location, you can ski in the morning in the surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains and swim or sunbathe in the afternoon in the warm, blue waters of the Mediterranean. Learning Spanish here is an unforgettable experience.

Sevilla:
The Institute is situated in the heart of Sevilla, just 300 metres from the cathedral and 400 metres from the Town Hall and arenas. We have four spacious and well-equipped classrooms all with natural lighting. There is a reception area, offices, toilets and a large terrace overlooking the town. Videos and multimedia are available. The staff consists of four, fully-qualified, native, Spanish as-a-foreign-language teachers.
