Description of Activity/Tour

Spanish as a foreign language programmes are offered all year round , usually over a 2 to 12 week period, combined with accommodation in a Venezuelan host family to ensure linguistic continuity and socio-cultural integration.

Discover and enjoy Venezuela with its 3000 kms of beautiful Caribbean beaches, warm, clean waters, mountains, tropical forest, imposing rivers, the largest waterfall in the world and virgin jungle full of amazing secrets.

General Description:
Every year, students of all ages (16-75 years), and from many countries and professions, attend Eurolingua's numerous language, cultural, special interest and summer programmes worldwide. Students include private individuals, mature teenagers, university and MBA students, teachers, doctors, professional and business people, corporate executives, diplomats and embassy staff, government employees, military personnel and retired people.

One-to-One Homestays (16-75 years):
Live and study abroad for 1 to 4 weeks, on a full-board basis, in the private family residence of a Eurolingua tutor. You benefit from intensive one-to-one, professional language tuition, enjoy local excursions and share usual family social, cultural and leisure activities. Total immersion in the language, culture and way of life is guaranteed. We collect you at and return you to the nearest airport or railway station. Programmes are available all year.

Group Programmes (16-75 years):
You benefit from a minimum of 15 hours (20 lessons) per week tuition in small friendly groups at one of our Institutes, with cultural visits and leisure activities. In order to maintain linguistic and cultural continuity, accommodation is with a selected, local host family. Studio apartments are also available. Open all year, with and special programmes during the summer.

The Eurolingua Institute teaches 9 languages in 29 countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA and Venezuela.

Typical Day

An intensive programme designed to help students make rapid progress in the acquisition of Spanish and develop the four main skills of speaking, comprehension, reading and writing. Suitable for academic, professional, commercial or social needs.

On arrival, students take an evaluation test to ensure that they are placed in the most appropriate group for their level, with progressive evaluations to monitor achievements and improvements.
The programme takes place five hours per day, Monday to Friday, in groups of 5 students at Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced or Superior level. Inclusive of all programme materials, 25 hours a week, two 3-hour excursions per week and 3 hours per week of special activities: video, games, plays, dancing, etc.

One-to-One Programme
The fastest way to learn Spanish. The programme consists of 10, 15, 20, 30, or 40 hours per week of personalised lessons, usually over 2 to 12 weeks. The programme starts any Monday and is available all year. Students may participate in all the social and leisure activities at the Institute.

Sleeping and meals

Students stay half-board (private room, breakfast and dinner) with a Venezuelan host family, carefully selected for their kindness, cordiality and hospitality.

Other Information

Two excursions are offered every week as an efficient mean to complement the Spanish learning process. A 3 hour visit to a historic, cultural or tourist site will be included. Students have the opportunity to visit such places as: Parque del Este, Universidad Central de Venezuela, Jardí® Botᮩco, Museo de Arte Contemporᮥo, Complejo Cultural Teresa Carreñ¯¬ Ateneo de Caracas, Galerí¡ de Arte Nacional, Museo de Bellas Artes, Museo de Ciencias Naturales, Panteó® Žacional, Casa Natal del Libertador, Museo Bolivariano, El Hatillo, El Junquito, Colonia Tovar etc.

In addition, students may enjoy weekend tours to: Isla de Margarita, M鲩da, Puerto La Cruz, Barlovento, Canaima, Roraima, Gran Sabana or any place of his interest (optional).
