Located on the mid-coast of rural Maine, surrounded by tall pines with exquisite panoramic ocean views from our backyard and inn. Watch the tides and ships large and small while breakfasting on the 60' sunporch. We specialize in Elopements and renewals. Enjoy hiking or birding on the largest uninhabited island on the east coast - Sears Island with over 7 miles of pebble and sand beach.

Walk to beach at Moose Point State Park for swimming or seal-watching. See everything from Pemaquid Point to Stonington or Acadia National Park's furthest point east, in easy day trips. Close to Bangor & Augusta and only 2 hours from Portland. Minutes to Belfast, Camden & Bucksport. Searsport is a deep water seaport, and has beautiful Moseman park by the water, complete with playground. Fish from the town pier, beachcomb for seaglass , star fish and sand dollars. Searsport is considered the antique capitol of Maine, with numerous antique shops and open air flea markets. Home of the Penobscot Marine Museum -the oldest marine museum in Maine, with 12 buildings on campus - and in 2005 featuring LOBSTAH -learn all about lobsters from start to finish on your plate. You will want to investigate the original Fort Knox - and the moat at Fort Point State Park. Enjoy shopping at the unique stores in Searsport - and the charming Belfast downtown.

Romantic 18th century home, listed on the National Register of Historic Places welcoming guests for over 80 years, who enjoy the convenience of our location "away from the maddening crowds". This early American cape-style farm house has an attached barn housing our Angels to Antiques Shoppe where guests receive a discount. All rooms are updated with king/queen beds, AC, en-suite private baths, and much more. 3.5 seaside acres of gardens, trees and lawn to wander or watch the ocean; wildlife or the birds in our bird sanctuary. Our charmingly furnished, air-conditioned bedrooms have en-suite private baths;king/queen beds and all the amenities you can possibly think of.

You'll enjoy lounging on the 60' sun porch overlooking the bay - or maybe just sitting outside watching the birds, wildlife and sea activity. Read a good book from our ample library ; play chess on the sun porch - or watch TV in the guest lounge. We have many common rooms for you to enjoy.

The Eleanor Roosevelt Suite has a beautiful oceanview, Callifornia King bed. dressing alcove; air conditioning;ensuite private bath with 2 person jacuzzi and skylight;

The Pettee Room, on the front of the hosue, has a king sized bed w/ enormous high antique brass headboard, air conditioning. Just recently renovated with plush carpeting, beautiful hand-made quilte; the ensuite large private bath has a 2 person bubble bath soaking tub with 2 spa showers.

The smaller Brigadier Room has antique white iron Queen bed, fantastic panoromic ocean view ; en-suite private bath with shower stall and skylight; air conditioning

Lucy Room has a king sized bed with beautiful Baltimore Album Quilt as part of the headboard. The charming room in blues and pinks, Air conditioning and a private en-suite bath with tub/shower..


The General Knox suite is a first floor suite with high king sized bed with antique mirrored backbar as headboard; high ceilings with ceiling fan, cable TV, air conditioning';small fridge;private bath with whirlpool tub & surround shower;a smaller room with day bed for that extra person, or for quiet reading and lounging;

Smoking outside only; pets can be accommodated at the Canine Country Club just 13 miles from us; Due to the romantic atmosphere of "Watchtide" well supervised children are accepted in the General Knox Suite.
