Surrounding Area

Acadia National Park, one of the National Park System's crown jewels, where sea meets mountains. Surrounding Mt. Desert Island's towns, one of which is Bar Harbor on the eastern side. Drive up Cadilac Mt. for sunrise, sunset, or just to admire the veiw.
You are just a short walk to shops and water from your front door, while at Quimby House. Some of Bar Harbor's finest restaurants are within our neighborhood.

Accommodations

Quimby House was built in early 1900, and remodeled in the early 1990's. Once inside our charming three story Colonial-style Inn, you'll find elegance and comfort to make your stay in our seaside paradise complete. The ample floor space, high ceilings, and large windows in our rooms create a spaciousness beyond compare.
We have three common decks, and a lawn area with tables to sit and relax with friends.

We offer a variety of configurations of rooms and suites to accommodate your needs and desires. Whether you're traveling as a couple, a family, or a group, we can reserve rooms which will maximize your comfort and your fun. Our rooms are finely appointed with Winston Court Thomasville furniture to accent there elegance.

Amenities

Each room has a private bath, cable television, telephone, wireless internet and air conditioning with daily maid service. Family units with kitchenettes are also available. Irons and hair dryers at your request. Wake-up calls, or set your alarm in your room. Free offstreet parking behind the Inn. Storage area for bikes.

Policies & Restrictions

We are children friendly with no age restictions. We do not allow pets, and all rooms are non-smoking.

Rates & Availability

Rates range from $65 to $110 a night in the off season. In the high season they range from $95 to $180 a night. We are open all year.

Other Information

A $20 fee will be charged for any cancellation. Also, our policy requires a ten day notice of cancellation prior to the arrival date, or you will be charge for one nights stay.

Directions

Take Route 3 from Ellsworth to Mount Desert Island and continue on to Bar Harbor. Cottage Street is on your left, just after West Street. Look for the green awning over our front door on the left side of the street.

Discounts Offered

We offer a 10% discount for AAA and AARP members with a valid membership card at the time you check-in. Government and teachers discounts available, too. Group rates are negotiable during the off season. Extended stay discount for our efficiencies with options available.
