The Dr. Jonathan Pitney House was built in 1799 in traditional colonial architecture. In 1848, the Doctor cut his house in half, moved half across the street and added a three story italianate design prevalent at that time. The 1799 potion of the Pitney Manor House is decorated in early 1800's style
and antiques while the 1848 addition is handsomely decorated with Victorian antiques.
The Doctor's Guest Quarters, immediately across the Commonyard from the Manor House, was built on the foot prints of the former Carriage House and consist of four suites.
The Dr. Jonathan Pitney House has six (6) rooms and four (4) suites. All have private baths, gas fireplaces and are decorated with period antiques from the early and mid 1800's. Three of the four suites located in the Doctor's Guest Quarters have whirlpools, while the fourth is our handicapped suite with a large roll-in shower. All four suites have TV/VCR's, central airconditioning. The first floor suites have private patios and the second floor has a veranda.
