Nanaimo, British Columbia Whale Watching

Activity/Tour
Multi-day Sea Kayaking trips start off at a relaxed pace and gradually increase the paddling time each day based on your ability, the weather and the location of wildlife. Our trips are designed to take advantage of scenic locations, encounters with wildlife, monitoring wildlife and sea kayaking with the elements of current and wind in our favour. Select trips take in abandon native villages sites, hotsprings, areas of incredible marine life and human history. We hike/walk every day to compliment the sitting position used in sea kayaking. Most of all we believe the best experience in the outdoors is a shared experience.

Typical Day
Early starts are our standard. We have found this is an incredible time to get pictures of critters foraging in the forest, the water or the shoreline. Breakfast with lots of coffee and a variety of energy foods get us off to a healthy start. Our base camped trips are on the water by 8:30 am and often are rewarded with a wildlife encounter in the marine environment. The afternoons are reserved exploration of destinations and sites like remote beaches, native sites, hidden passage, human history and hikes in the rainforest. We prefer to have some down time around 4pm and make a point of being off the water and preparing dinner early so we can take an evening paddle or end the date around a beach fire.

Age range, type of group
We encourage folks of all ages to take our trips. Over the past twenty plus years we have had success with reaching the expectations of singles, couples, groups, families and seniors.
