Description of Surrounding Area

Sun Peaks Resort is Canada's next great mountain resort. It is a year-round destination for everyone to explore. It offers breaktaking scenery, fragrant alpine meadows, a village nestled amongst mountain slopes. It is an ideal vacation destination for family vacations, meetings, retreats, and weddings. There are numerous restaurants, boutiques, and shops all within minutes of walking from our chalet. In the winter, Sun Peaks offers the greatest vertical in BC's Interior, with over 80 named runs including 6 gladed areas. The longest run is 5 miles (8 km). There are over 1000 acres of marked trails, a 2500 foot long snowboard park, 6 lifts including 3 quad lifts, a children's terrain garden and an extensive network of cross country trails groomed regularily.

Description of Vacation Rental Property

This home has 2 separate units that can be rented separately or together. The 'main house' is spacious (2650 square foot) and offers 3 queen-sized bedrooms and a bunk-room with 2 sets of double/double bunks. This room also has a TV and VCR with lots of room for the kids. There are 2 fireplaces, a family room, living room, dining room, large deck, BBQ, fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, vaulted ceilings and lots more in the 'main house'. The 'suite' is 850 sf., has a fireplace, TV, VCR, stereo, 2 bedrooms (1 queen, and the other has a double/double bunkbed) and a comfortable sofabed in the living room (7" mattress), fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, separate entrance from the garage, large storage room, and lots more. Sleeps & # of Bedrooms

The "main house" has 3 bedrooms with queen-sized beds, and a 'bunkroom' with 2 sets of double/double bunkbeds, and there is also a sofabed in the family room. The occupancy of this unit is 24 maximum. There are three full bathrooms in the 'main house'.
The "suite" has 2 bedrooms - 1 with a queen-sized bed, and the other bedroom has a double/double bunkbed. There is also a very comfortable queen-sized sofabed in the living room (7" mattress). The occupancy for this unit is 8 maximum. There is one bathroom in the 'suite' with a door separating the tub/toilet area from the double sinks.

Amenities

The 'main house' has a TV and VCR in both the 'bunkroom' and the family room. There is also a stereo in the family rooms (radio, cassette, and CD player). There are also a number of videos at the house. A telephone is available for local calls and long-distance calls with a calling card. The kitchen is fully-equipped with full sized stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and all the comforts of home (baking dishes, mixers, blender, coffee maker, toaster, etc.). There are two fireplaces in the 'main house' - one in the family room and a river-rock fireplace in the living room. Both are propane gas and turn on with the flip of a switch.
The 'suite' has a stereo, TV, VCR, telephone for local calls or long-distance with a calling card. The kitchen is fully-equipped with full-sized stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, baking and cooking supplies, blender, coffee maker, mixer, and more. The fireplace is a propane gas corner fireplace in the living room.

Services Offered

We have a 7-person hot tub overlooking the village that is shared with the 'suite' and the 'main house'. There are set times (odd and even hours) to ensure privacy.

Restrictions

We do promote family vacations and children are most definitely welcome. We do not allow pets. This ensures that people with allergies to pets don't have any problems - we can assure that are 'no pets' policy is enforced. We don't even bring our golden retriever with us when we stay in our own chalet. This is also a non-smoking chalet. You are welcome to smoke outside on the deck or on the front porch.

Rates & Availability

We have summer rates starting at $750/week for the 'suite' and $1250/week for the 'main house'. Our winter rates vary with the best deals in January, April and prior to Christmas Break.

Other Information

If we do not have availability during the time that you are requesting, we know of other chalets (ski-in/ski-out, a short walk, or a short drive to the lifts) that may have availability. We'd be happy to check for you so that your needs are met.

Directions

Sun Peaks Resort is an easy 45 minutes from Kamloops. Head north along Highway 5 for 19 kms. to Heffley Creek, then turn right for another 31 kms. and you're there!
