Nestled in the beautiful pastoral Pleasant Valley of the Lake Catamont area just southeast of Steamboat Springs amidst sweeping hay meadows and grand vistas, you will be just comfortably out of the main stream of busy mountain town congestion, yet able to access quickly and easily all the many and varied mountain town activites such as winter skiing, snowmobiling, sleighrides, and sports activities of all kinds. Summers are filled with hiking and mountain bike activities as well as fishing, horseback riding, balloon rides and camping. Close to both Lake Catamont as well as Stagecoach Lake, our country inn affords additional opportunities for boating, skiing and other water sport activities. The mountains provide the backdrop forf the most spectacular of sunsets and colorful photographic opportunities. Horses and cows in your backyard take you back to the days you dreamed of as children and can still find in those special places on Earth. The living is easy at the Pleasant Valley Ranch just outside Steamboat Springs, Co. Come dream with us!

Accommodations

Our Ranch House consists of three bedrooms on the main floor; a master with King Bed and private bath; two additional rooms sharing a bath in the hall; one with a four-poster antique double bed and the other with a mahogany bunk bed set complete with trundle to accomodate up to three in twin beds. (Ideal for families with children). On the same floor is the Ranch Kitchen and Dining Room, two large picture windows for optimum views of the incredible landscape in front and in back of the House; a sunken Living Room with Stone Fireplace, TV., and stereo. The downstairs is finished as a Family Room with overflow sleeping on Fotons and Pull-out Couches, third bathroom and a charming fireplace as well as its own Kitchette. Caretakers room is also on this level and a caretaker is either on premises or available to assist guests when needed. Our Guest Ranch sits on twenty acres of rolling pastures and is cross fenced to accomodate our friendly horses as well as any guest horses which may be visiting with their owners. The porch on the back side of the Ranch House sports a fine Hottub under the blue skies or under the millions of stars in the night skies. Volleyball and Horseshoes are set up for the enjoyment of our guests and a Gazzebo over the Spring-fed Pond finishes off the the ambience for those really Special Occasions.

Rooms/Suites

The Ranch House itself is elegantly appointed to appeal to even the most discrimate tastes in decorating with all the baths, bedrooms, dining room and kitchen on the main level decorated in lovely wallpapers and coordinated tile work. Hardwood flooring in the kitchen and dining area makes upkeep an easy task while carpeting prevails through the living room and into the bedrooms. A rustic wall mural sets the living room off and accents the moss rock gas fireplace into which the TV is tucked.
The Kithen is modern with dishwasher, garbage disposal and gas cooktop. Barbequeing on the porch is still a favorite for our guests.

Amenities

Our Guest Ranch is equipped with a satellite TV, phone, hottub on the porch and grounds to accomodate large groups. Sleeping in the Ranch House itself is maximum at eleven at present but Tepees will be added to accomodate the outdoor sleeping experience for the summer months. The town of Steamboat Springs offers a public HotSprings Pool and Recreation Facility as well as the Strawberry Park Natural Hot Springs just 9 miles north of Steamboat. Peace and serenity are our most outstanding amenities as well as the opportunity to enjoy a campfire under the stars amidst nature at its best while visiting The Pleasant Valley Guest Ranch in Steamboat Springs, Co.

Services Offered

We provide the staples for your visit to our Ranch. You provide the particulars to make your stay all that it can be! We have a full size freezer for your convenience as well as ours; two full size refrigerators and ample cupboard and drawer space. We will do catering upon request (just ask us for pricing structures) or you can have your own affair catered to our Ranch. Generally we are a "self-service" Guest Ranch where we provide most of the basic ingredients and you provide your personal touch for the meals; however, upon request, we will do breakfasts, lunches or candelight dinners for those special occasions.

Policies & Restrictions

Our Ranch is open to all ages and is a great place for children to enjoy the wide open spaces as well as the opportunity to bond with nature, wildlife and ranch animals such as horses, cows and other ranch animals as they come and go in our lives. Smoking is permitted outdoors and guests that smoke are encouraged to respect the premises by using proper receptacles for their debris. Pets are a possibility for an extra fee as long as they are not permitted in the house proper. This is a great place for dogs to get their excercise as long as guests recognize that it is their liability and our Ranch is home to our horses.

Rates & Availability

Rates vary from $250 per night minimum up according to the number of people and the activity that is booked,as well as the services required to accomodate the party. Please call the Central Number at the Alpine Rose bed & breakfast to confer on actual rates after furnishing your particulars. Availability will vary with the Season; Winter and Summer seasons being the busiest, however, this are has its particular appeal all year long so it will be best to book early in any case to be assured of hte dates most desired.

Reservations ca be made through the Alpine Rose bed and breakfast at this time and will be confirmed with a Credit Card or a Check at least one month in advance to ensure you receive the dates desired. Name, address and phone numer will be required to receive confirmation. Most reservations are reserved via credit cards, however, personal checks and cash are always welcomed.

Other Information

Our Guest Ranch is privately owned and operated and is at this time an extension of the Alpine Rose Bed & Breakfast inSteamboat Springs. This is an ideal location for your special event, be it a wedding, a reunion, a retreat, a family vacation, a fishing or hunting party, horse activities or just a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. We would love to pamper you.
We will soon be offering private Horseback Rides as well as private Snowmobile Rentals and Trips to the back country. Our horses are in training to pull a Sleigh as well as a Cart for our guests enjoyment. We hope to soon be building a Barn to offer additional activities such as Barn Dances and Ho-Downs.

Directions

We are approximately 10 miles southeast of the Town of Steamboat Springs on CR #14B, off CR #131 in the directon of Oak Creek. It is a dirt road, however the Catamont Lake area is under development and therefore roads will be better maintained in the future. We like to meet our Guests so as to guide them into our Ranch personally, however directions may be obtained upon resevations being made, either through confirmation by mail or fax. Our brochure and website will soon be available.

Discounts Offered

At this time, we custom tailor your reservation and do not offer discounts, however, repeat business and word of mouth advertising will be given special consideration. We look forward to hearing from you!
