We are located in the historic village of Chimayo famous for its miraculous Santuario church and many weaving galleries. We are in close proximity to the Santa Fe Opera, to Bandelier National Monument, Georgia O"Keefe"s country like Abiquiu and Ghost Ranch, and many Native American pueblos. Alpine and cross country skiing surround Chimayo at Taos Ski Valley, Sipapu, Pajarito and Santa Fe. During summer months you can hike in the surrounding hills and mountains or raft on the Rio Grande.

Accommodations

Casa Escondida is nestled on six acres of secluded land and is built in the Spanish Colonial adobe style, typical of Northern New Mexico. The rooms are tastefully decorated in the American Arts and Crafts style, intimate and comfortable. A large living room with a kiva fireplace is at the guests" disposal, so are the beautiful surrounding grounds

Rooms/Suites

The Sun Room: large, sunny with private patio, one double bed , one single , adjoins The Heart of the House Room to make a suite. The Vista Room: has alarge deck overlooking the pink, wild west badlands of Chimayo, one queen size bed and one single. The Kiva Room is a romantic hideaway with a queen size bed and a kiva fireplace. Casita Escondida is a detached cozy adobe house with kiva fireplace, satillo tile floors, vigas and pastoral views from a private deck.

Amenities

A famous restaurant is located only a five minute drive from Casa Escondida. We have a hot tub on premises and small conference facilities are available.

We accept pets in downstairs rooms only. There is no smoking in the rooms.

Rates & Availability

The rooms range in price from $80-$140 from April thru Oct. Winter rates are 10% lower from Nov. thru March (except Thanksgiving and Christmas week)
