Join North Shore Adventures Inc. as we head to the "Stone Sentinel". Our Journey will take us through the wonderful city of Mendoza where participants can enjoy great food and world class wine. Our climb begins with a scenic 3 day hike through the Vacas valley to our base camp at 14,000 ft. We shall progress up the mountain slowly with gear shuttles to allow for the maximum amount of acclimitization.

Typical Day

Daily activities while on Aconcaqua will include gradual moves up from base camp. We will have 2 high camps. Camp 1 at 16,000 ft and camp 2 at 19,200 ft. Time will be spent each day shuttling equipment or move to higher camps. Several rest days are included to maintain energy and to assist the acclimating process.

Age range, type of group

This expedition is ideal for adults 18 years and older. Our route is technically simple, however climbing at high altitudes offers a great deal of physical challenge. Individuals should be in peak physical condition.

Sleeping and meals

Included in this expediton is ground transportation, lodging, climbing permit fees, all backcountry food, group equipment, mule transport, and guide. Air transportation is offered through NSA at an additional cost.

Restrictions

Participants must be at least 18 years and have a valid passport.

airfare and travel insurance are available at an additional cost.

Reservations are confirmed with $750 deposit. Balance due December 1, 2000. Please call for details or registration application.
