Active Adventure
Guided bicycle tours throughout New Zealand, Tasmania, Vietnam, India, Austria and the Czech Republic since 1985. From 2 days to 23 days. Excellent lodges, local guides, fully supported with comfortable minibus. Great value. Custom tours a speciality. Quality rental bikes.
Typical Day
Each person cycles at their own pace, with the comfort of the back up vehicle available at any time. Most people will finish cycling around 2pm - 3pm.
Age range, type of group
Our tours are a mix of couples and singles, old and young. After a few days of cycling together you will all be good friends! We are happy to put together a special itinerary for families. We also run many custom tours for clubs and groups.
Sleeping and meals
We stay in small lodges and boutique hotels, carefully chosen for their character, comfort and location. Wherever possible we stay at 3 - 4 star establishments. Cooked breakfasts, picnic or cafe lunches, and dinners at good restaurants.
Restrictions
The minimum age is 14 when accompanied by parents, 18 when unaccompanied. There is no maximum age.

I have now been on two Pedaltours bicycling adventures (New Zealand and India), and both of them have been wonderful from beginning to end. The routes are always well marked and articulated to the group either by maps or other guides, and chosen for their beauty or historical importance. Food adventures are always a part of travel, so great care is taken to ensure that local flavors are experienced at their best.
