The Shawnodese is a unique chartering vessel designed and constructed by Captain Curtis Pearson expressly for cruising magnificent 43 mile long, 1200 feet deep Lake Pend Oreille. His vision--taking 2 years to complete--was to construct a charter boat embodying the elegance of an old river boat, while retaining the intimacy of a private yacht. The richly appointed Shawnodese fulfills this extraordinary vision.

Destinations

When you charter the Shawnodese, you create your own custom itinerary for exploring Lake Pend Oreille's vast shoreline and secluded bays. During the summer months, the Clark Fork River is also navigable, as well the the Pend Oreille River. Our public cruises tour the north end of Lake Pend Oreille.

Typical Day

The beauty is breathtaking, the wildlife abundant. Osprey often greet the boat as it cruises from port. Learn about the history and geology of the area. Relax, enjoy the sun and the water and cruise your cares away...

Age range, type of group

We have had from newborns to age 101. We cater to all ages and backgrounds. Families and children of all ages are welcome. Limited to 30 passengers

Sleeping and meals

We offer a "Cruise & Snooze" private charter for up 6 people where you spend the night on the Shawnodese. Dinner & breakfast included. We also offer dinner cruises and lunch cruises.

Policies & Restrictions

No pets (except seeing eye dogs), smoking on aft deck only, and limited to 30 passengers.

Rates & Availability

$150 to $175 per hour (2 hour minimum) for private charters. Public cruises start at $9 to $14 per person depending on age.
