Description of Surrounding Area

Cozumel Island is located only 12 miles off the mainland of the Yucatan in Mexico, and is considered part of the Mexican Caribbean. There are a number of international flights coming to Cozumel daily, or you can fly to Cancun, take a taxi or van to Playa del Carmen and take the ferry to Cozumel. Only 28 miles long and about 10 miles wide, Cozumel is world renown for excellent scuba diving and snorkeling.It is also well-known for being one of the safest destinations in the Caribbean. The local people of are Mayan descent, are very hospitable and friendly, and generously welcome visitors to their island.

In addition to scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming and simply enjoying the sun and beautiful beaches, there's also parasailing, jet skis, deep sea fishing and even surf fishing. Pay a visit to Chankanaab National Park and see the beautiful lagoon and botanical gardens. On dry land, there's horseback riding, miniature golf, go-carts, visiting the ruins, shopping and there's a wide selection of very reasonably priced restaurants. There is some night life, including the famous Carlos N Charlies downtown, and a couple of other hot spots, and Cozumel even has 2 movie theaters!

Very conveniently located, Casa Topaz is on 10th Ave. South, between 15th and 17th Ave. This means it's only 500 yards from the turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean and within walking distance to a public beach and to the main square downtown. It's also near the newest and largest grocery store on Cozumel and just 3 blocks from a laundromat.

Description of Vacation Rental Property

Casa Topaz is a stunning 2 bedroom 2 bath custom-built vacation home only about 500 yards from waterfront. Located in Cozumel's newest and nicest residental area, Corpus Cristi, Casa Topaz shares a tropical garden, two level and swimming pool and outdoor area with it's "sister" home upstairs (Casa Tomás).

There's a living/dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. The furniture is Mexican rustic upholstered with imported fabrics and there are custom made curtains, a pressurized water system and even imported Price Pfister faucets for the bath and kitchen.

Each bedroom has a stunning view of the swimming pools, rock fountain and gardens. Through large sliding glass doors it's just a few steps from either of the bedrooms or the living area to the pools and garden.

Sleeps & # of Bedrooms

Casa Topaz sleeps 5 people comfortably with a king sized bed in each of the 2 bedrooms and a futon sofa. In one bedroom, the king sized bed can be changed for 2 twins by request. Each bedroom has a private bath with beautiful ceramic tile. The water system at this home is pressurized so that the showers are strong.

Amenities

For your comfort there is a color TV, cable, VCR, CD player and a selection of video tapes and books. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, blender toaster oven plus plenty of purified water is provided. There's also cookware, dishes, glasses, flatware, etc. plus there are hair dryers, an iron and ironing board, a fold up drying rack and a safe with a programmable digital lock.

Services Offered

Daily maid service (except Sundays and major Mexican holidays) is included, and all linens, towels and even beach towels are provided. Linens are changed twice a week.

We can arrange for an optional private cook service for 4 or more guests, and arrange for custom scuba diving.

Restrictions

Smoking okay, no pets, no children under 6 years old.

Rates & Availability

Casa Topaz is available for vacation rental year round. The regular rate is $935/week plus a 12% Mexican tax. Low season rates are from July 15 to Nov. 15 and are $810/wk plus 12% tax. For Christmas and New Year's week rates please contact us. There is also a refundable $300 security deposit required.
