Surrounding Area
Waterton Lakes National Park is nestled in the southwest corner of Alberta, bordering Montana, U.S.A. and British Columbia, only a 2.5 hour drive from the international gateway city of Calgary, Alberta. The park features spectacular scenery, an abundance of wildlife, plants and lakes, a small commercial village, a wider variety of recreation facilities and close proximity to other world-class tourist attractions.
The Waterton Spa and Recreation Centre, located in the same building as the Waterton International Hostel, is available for a fee and includes a large indoor liesure pool, whirlpool, hot tub and massage therapy clinic.
Restaurants and other resort amenities are available on site as well as in the village of Waterton. Golf, tennis, theatre and shopping are all nearby.
