Description of Surrounding Area

Grenada, unspoiled and full of history. Explore our lush and beautiful island with its mountain trails, hot spring pools, hidden waterfalls and white sand beaches.

For the sailor the famous Grenadines are easily accessible, a day sail to our sister Island of Carriacou is a must.

St. Georges, is an early 18th century town, and the capital of Grenada. Fort George was built by the French around 1706 to guard the harbour entrance. In the 18th and 19th centuries, most European ships sailed into St. Georges ballasted with tiles and bricks, which were dumped and replaced with valuable cargoes of sugar, rum, indigo and spices. These discarded building materials were often used locally, and can be seen on many of the older buildings in the town.

For the environmentally minded there are well designed nature trails through the tropical rainforests of Grenada, most especially in the Grand Etang Forest Reserve. At the heart of the forest is an extinct volcanic crater which is now the Grand Etang Lake. Amongst the massive mahogany and gommier trees, live a wonderful variety of animals and birds. Hummingbirds, Lesser Antillean swifts, hawks, the Antillean euphonia and the purple throated carib nest in the upper branches, whilst lower down there are armadillos, mongoose, monkeys and oppossum to name but a few.

The beautiful coral reefs and the wonderful marine environment that supports them is another ecosystem of which we are justly proud. Grenada has a number of ecological conservation projects to protect its fragile reefs and marine life, including a turtle conservation project and mangrove preservation. There are guided whale watching and dolphin watching trips too!

Double occupancy (Great for couples,one additional person per room)

6 True Blue Rooms
These NEW simple but elegant rooms are located in a ground floor, very near the bayview pool, have a charming terrace over looking at the gardens and the bay. The Teak furnishings and lovely simple colors creat a very natural and peaceful relaxing space where to retier after a day of fun. Your option of one king size bed or twin beds, fully equipped kitchenette, fans, a/c bedroom, phone, cable TV. Double occupancy (Good for families with small children as the play area and gardens are very near, one additional person per room)

12 Indigo Rooms
On the Bay and with an explendid view of the infinity beach pool and gardens, these block of comfortable rooms are located very near the dive shop and marina, have an spacious and shady balconie with confi chairs, the tropical teak furniture and bright Caribbean colours make these rooms very chearful spaces to relax. A choice of twin beds or romantic king size four- poster beds are available. Fully equiped kitchenets, fan, phone. wireless internet and cable TV. To accommodate families of four, some of these rooms have connecting doors. Double occupancy

3 Tree Top Rooms
Located in a first floor over the reception area and near the water front these cousy units have rattan furnishings, balcony with a view of the tree tops and the bay and your option of one king size bed or twin beds, a small kitchenette with microwave oven and fridge, fans, a/c bedroom, phone and cable TV. To accommodate families optional connecting doors through the balconies are available. (One additional person maximum)

4 Water Front Apartments
Located right over the water edge these very spacious one bedroom apartments have four-poster queen beds, living room, fully equipped kitchen dining room and a lovely balcony overlooking the Bay and Marina, a/c bedroom, ceiling fans, phone and cable TV. (Good for couples or honeymooners, balconies are not recommended for small kids, one additional person maximum).

5 Club True Blue Villas
These 2 bedroom luxury villas have an splendid view of the Bay, Marina and our very special infinity beach pool. The earth tones and simple lines of the furniture give them an elegant and peacefull feel helping you relax in a True Caribbean Style.
These 5 units have on the ground floor one master bedroom equiped with a bath tub, dressing room and romantic 4 posted king sized bed, the second bedroom has a shower dressing room and twin beds. Both of these bedrooms have exit doors direct to the infinity beach pool. The 1st floor contains a private plunge pool and patio, an elegant and fully equiped kitchen, dining room and livingroom with a generous balcony overlooking the bay. All rooms have fans, a/c bedroom, phone, cable TV and private parking (Good for families or 2 couples, 2 aditional persons maximum).

3 Tower Suites
These very special and romantic second floor units have a truly spectacular view of the bay, especially from their private viewing tower equiped with confi chairs and telescope. The very generous balcony is great to relax, enjoy the breeze, watch the sunset or just look at the Blue Caribbean Sea. The excuisite wood and palm furnishings and Nautical details give this rooms a wonderfull sece of comfort and tranquility. Your Hosts

Magdalena and Russ Fielden bought True Blue Bay Resort in October 1998. Russ sailed to the Caribbean from Devon in the UK in 1982.��He worked for the Moorings, a yacht charter company, for 15 years.��During this time he managed their hotel chain as well as overseeing their smaller operations in the Caribbean, Pacific and Mexico.�

Magdalena, who was born in Mexico City, qualified as an architect. After practising for a few years she discovered the sea and became the chef on a luxury yacht.��
She met Russ in Baja, and as they say, the rest is history. They have two daughters, Marie 12 and Renatta 9.

They all consider themselves very fortunate to live in Grenada and own such a beautiful place.

Directions

We are only 10 minutes from Point Salines International Airport. On entering the country, passports and visas are not required of US, Canadian or British citizens, providing they have two documents proving citizenship, one of them with a photo.

The official language of Grenada is English and the official currency is the Eastern Caribbean (EC) dollar. The rate of exchange is approximately $2.70 EC per $1.00 US.
