Friday Creek is a secluded tranquil valley tucked away in the corner of the beautiful Orara Valley, a 15 minute drive up in the hinterland from the coastal resort town of Coffs Harbour on the New South wales North Coast. Coffs Harbour is approximately midway between Brisbane and Sydney and has convenient air, road and rail links. The region offers diverse attractions such as bushwalking and hiking in the Dorrigo National park, wild whitewater rafting at the Nymboida River and river canoeing. Explore the historic villages of Bellingen and Dorrigo. On the coast enjoy surfing, fishing, surf rafting, sea kayaking, scuba diving ( in the Solitary Islands Marine Park) whale watching in season. Play golf at the Bonville International Golf Club or try horseriding in the State Forests, a 4WD adventure tour or sky diving.

Accommodations

Built from earthbrick, timber and stone, each of the nine uniquely decorated cottages feature polished timber floors throughout, reverse cycle air conditioning, bathrooms with spas for two (or baths)and huge showers, bedrooms have fabulous views, queen sized beds, woollen doonas, reading lights, bathrobes, candles and aroma oils, kitchens are well equipped for self-catering, having a gas stove with grill and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and all basic appliances and utensils, coffee plunger and fresh ground coffee. The loungeroom/ dining room has a stone open fire, big comfy sofas, TV, VCR, CD stereo system, and French doors which open onto a timber deck with outdoor dining setting, great views and a hammock. Cottages are seperated by native gardens creating total privacy.

Surrounded by sub-tropical rainforest and green rolling hills the property has extensive grounds with a full sized tennis court, small lake for fishing, superbly landscaped swimming pool, barbeque and wood-fired pizza oven in a lovely garden setting. Go bicycling, bushwalking or laze about in a hammock on your verandah.

Services Offered

Guests can arrange in room massages, have a gourmet three course dinner or breakfast hamper delivered to their cottage and have free access to all the activities on the property, plus a collection of movies, music and books to borrow.

Policies & Restrictions

No pets, no smoking in the cottages. Guests wishing to bring children are welcome provided they respect the nature of the retreat and the peace and privacy of other guests. There is a two bedroom cottage perfect for a family. Cots available.

Tariff effective 1st July 2001 to end June 2002 are GST inclusive, subject to change without notice.
1 bedroom Cottage $210 for up to 2 guests
2 Bedroom Cottage $270 for up to 4 guests
A 20% surcharge applies 24th Dec to 14th Jan and Easter week.
Minimum stays apply during holidays and weekends.

Directions

Take Coramba Rd west from coffs Harbour for about 7.5 Km, turn left into Mt Browne Rd, left after 5 km into Sth Island loop Rd and left after 1 km into Friday Creek Rd. We are 2.7 km down Friday Creek Rd on the left.
