Kenmare has been described as the Jewel in the Crown of the Kingdom, a Gourmet Town, a Five Star Location and a designated Heritage Town. It is the winner of numerous Tidy Town Gold Medals and its pretty streetscape, dating back to 1670, together with the magnificent location on Kenmare Bay at the foot of the Cork and Kerry mountains draws visitors back year after year. Situated on both the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara, and easily accessible by air (Kerry Airport 48km, Cork Airport 96km), sea (ferries from France arrive in near-by Cork) and road, Kenmare makes an ideal touring centre from which to discover the famed beauty of the rugged coastline and mountainous hinterland.

Accommodations

Our accommodation is rated as a 3 star guesthouse, and we are rated 55 out of 100% ( to see more about how this operates, as it is a bit confusing click here). Designed for the comfort of the guest, the contemporary, spacious and bright rooms are of a modern standard that compliments the character of the pub and restaurant downstairs. Being a family owned and operated business means nothing like a Hotel style service, it is more casual and more friendly, and either myself or my Vanessa are always doing breakfast, so as to advise people on where to go, and what to do for their day. The bed and breakfast part of the Business consists of 10 Rooms, which are Double, Twin, Triple and Family Bed and Breakfast Rooms. Our rooms are designed in a different style to the Bar, because of its Old World Atmosphere, we designed the rooms differently, as today’s Guest loves to drink in a bar filled with Old memorabilia, and quaint atmosphere, but like to sleep in a large clean modern En Suite Room. Our Hotel style rooms are contempory, with plenty of space to laze around. All Guesthouse services are located away from the Bar & food Area downstairs. We decided to have the Bed and Breakfast area on the first Floor, as we feel it give our guest more privacy in the morning, and also you do not need to dress up to have breakfast, as you have to in a Hotel, and guest quiet happily mingle with each other and swop stories, and ideas on what to do, and where to go. We have also kept the Rooms off the street area, and towards the rear of the building, as this eliminates noise from Kenmare Traffic and late night revellers, they are also away from the Bar area to ensure that you have an uninterrupted and very pleasant nights rest. Staying in bed & breakfast / Guesthouse accommodation right in the centre of Kenmare, is an ideal way of experiencing all Kenmare has to offer

Our Bed and Breakfast rooms are spacious and have been completed with the comfort of the traveller in mind including all Ensuite rooms, TV with 6 channels, Phone and Hair Dryer. While we’re excellently situated right in the heart of Kenmare our rooms are located away from the street and bar area to ensure that you have an uninterrupted and very pleasant nights rest.
