Lexingtonians continue to cherish its place in history as the 'BIRTHPLACE OF AMERICAN LIBERTY'. We invite you to experience this pride and share our warmth and hospitality while visiting the many attractions in Lexington and nearby surrounding historical towns and downtown Boston.

Accommodations

Our four season bed and breakfast offers four season charm with distinct decorated guest rooms each with modern private tile baths. Guest share a private leisure room displaying photographs of historical scenes, cable TV, desk, and pub table with swivel chairs to challenge the innkeeper at a game of chess or indulge in casual reading of historical Lexington. We offer our formal living and dining rooms year round for a more open and spacious environment. During the fall foilage season, guests may have an opportunity to observe the four deer that have matured during the past several years as they patronize our apple tree. During the late fall and winter, seating is offered in the Innkeeper's leisure room to enjoy the view and warmth of a fireview wood burning stove and the antique woodworking tools given to the Innkeeper by his grandfather. In the spring, while the mist is still in the air, enjoy the re-enactment activities that led to the start of the Revoluntionary War. In the summer, guests are encouraged to enjoy the sun while swimming in our heated in ground pool and viewing the one acre of wooded and landscaped yard which borders conservation land. During the summer evenings, guests can enjoy the camouflaged lights that pierce through the maple trees to reflect off the water while huddling around a glowing firepit at poolside sharing life's experiences. We offer our home as a place away from home in warmth with a touch of charm and welcome the exchange of culture, tradition and traveler's tales.

Complimentary Breakfast--We offer a FULL HEARTY BREAKFAST and an SNACK with non-alcoholic beverage. full breakfast CONSISTS OF JUICE,FRUIT DISH/CUP,ENTREE,HOMEMADE BREADS OR COFFEE CAKES, COFFEE,TEA,HOT CHOCOLATE. Coffee is available at 7:00 A.M. and breakfast is served in the dining room between 7:30 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. The homemade banana-nut bread and blueberry coffee cake in the morning and the walnut filled, moist dark chocolate brownies in the evening are favorites.

Transportation to Airport--We offer transporation round trip from Lawrence G. Hanscom Airfield. Round trip fare is $20.00 (USD). Contact innkeeper for availability and arrangements. We have no provisions for travel to Logan International Airport.

Transportation to City--Public transporation via bus is a two (2) minute walk. Public transportation via bus/subway travels to Lexington Center (5 min) and to downtown Boston (45 min). Round trip fare to Lexington Center is $1.20 USD and is $3.60 USD to downtown Boston per person (subject to change). Various discount cards are sold at hub subway stations.

Other Information

The Spring and Summer of 2002 was a pleasant surprise. Guests from around the world patronized our b&b. We hosted guests from France, Norway, Vancouver BC Canada, and the Ukraine. We would like to thank Loren, Joan, Julian, Bill and Barbara for allowing us to be their hosts during their visits to the US. We would like to thank our guests who have complimented us by returning during the summer, Patrick, Pat, and Betty. Guests from the State of Calif. continue to represent our most frequent guest. We thank you. I special thanks to Leslie (Mother to be) for allowing her husband Gene to agonize and perspire during 5 hours of chess games with the innkeeper. From the EAST, Logan Airport and Downtown Boston: Take the tunnel to Boston and travel north on I-93. Exit onto I-95/Route 128 south towards Waltham. Take exit 31B, Route 4/Route 225 towards Bedford. Take 1st street on right after exiting highway (Eldred Street). Our house is #24 Eldred, the sixth house on the left, brick front Garrison Colonial. *****From the WEST of Boston (I-90 or Route 2): Travel I-90 or Route 2 east to I-95/Route 128 north. Take exit 31B, Route 4/Route 225 heading towards Bedford. Take 1st street on the right after exiting highway (Eldred Street). Follow directions above to #24 Eldred Street. *****From the NORTH of Boston (I-95, I-93 or Route 3): Travel I-95, I-93, Route 3 south to I-95/Route 128 South. Travel I-95/Route 128 South to exit 31B. Take Route 4/Route 225 towards Bedford. Follow directions above to #24 Eldred Street. *****From the SOUTH , (Rhode Island), travel I-95 north to Route 128 north which is also I-95. Follow directions above to #24 Eldred Street. If you fly into Lawrence G. Hanscom Airfield, we will provide round trip transportation for $20.00 if available. ***We offer the following Gift Certificates: 1. Frequent Guest Certificates represent one (1) free night for every 10 night stays. 2. Referral Gift Certificates represent a $25.00 gift certificate for the guest who stayed with us and refers a new guest and a $25.00 gift certificate for the new guest. One certificate per party or family. Both the guest who made the referral and the guest making a reservation must stay at our lodging for one night.
