Refreshing new inn on four sunny acres on Olympic Peninsula close to national park. Mountain views. Spacious suites ALL with king beds, fireplaces, private baths, European linens. Hydrotherapy spa under the stars! Private Guest Houses available. Bed & Breakfasts Sequim Olympic Peninsula Washington
The Lost Mountain Lodge is literally just minutes from the Olympic National Park, the Dungeness Spit & National Wildlife Refuge, the Lavender farms in the Dungeness valley, historic Port Townsend, Port Angeles, and the ferries to Victoria, British Columbia. Many attractions such as Lake Crescent, the Hoh Rain Forest, Solduc Falls, and the ocean beaches are just a pleasant 35 to 90 minute drive from the Lodge.
Description of Accommodations
Beautifully and privately sited on nearly four acres, the main Lodge is relaxed and casually elegant with lovely views of the snow-capped mountains, sunny meadows, cottage gardens, and tranquil ponds from every room. Artistic and uncluttered interiors are just the beginning of a fresh interpretation of what a country inn should be! With only three private suites, you'll feel like the entire 4200-sq.ft. Lodge is your personal vacation retreat.
From the two-story great room with its soaring fieldstone fireplace, to the reading loft with its spectacular view, to the spacious gourmet kitchen with its beamed ceiling and cozy conversation area, everything has been designed for the comfort -- and privacy -- of our guests.
Description of Rooms/Suites
THE CREEKSIDE Soothing colors as soft as the Pacific mist surround you in more than 700-sq.ft. of complete privacy on the first floor. From the richness of matelasse linens to the laid-back comfort of Smith & Hawken resort chairs, this well-appointed suite features many special touches including a see-through wood-burning fireplace that is visible from either the king-size pillow top bed or the extra-deep soaking tub. A restful botanical theme creates a serene ambiance, but it is the extraordinary spa-like bath (measuring 23x14 ft.) with its large soaking tub, his & her vanity sinks, and a separate, tiled shower room (with two shower heads and built-in benches) that makes this suite such a special place to recuperate from the pressures of everyday life. French doors open to a private deck overlooking the ponds and waterfall. With the harmonious sounds of a babbling brook just outside your windows, the Creekside is one of the Olympic Peninsula's loveliest honeymoon or anniversary suites.
THE SUNNYVIEW This airy suite evokes summer romance--all year long. With its French-country bed, refined cottage furniture, and original artwork, the Sunnyview exemplifies the meaning of "getaway." Decorated in watercolor hues of lavender, sage, and lemon, this cheery vaulted suite offers nearly 600-sq.ft. of casual sophistication and occupies the entire West wing of the second floor. There's a wood-burning fireplace for chilly evenings, a luxurious king-size pillow top bed, and fabrics as muted as a spring bouquet. A charming window seat alcove provides a comfortable spot to get lost in the inspiring scenery (or snuggle into when skies are gray). The delightful private bath with its crisp garden theme is full of natural light thanks to a window that takes great advantage of the lofty view. While the Sunnyview is a restful retreat for two, this suite can accommodate up to four (4) persons making it the perfect choice for families with children over 12, or a group of friends traveling together.
THE MOONBEAM Colors as mystical as those in a wooded glen create a special aura, and with five large skylights in its vaulted ceilings, the Moonbeam is truly magical at night. The luxurious king-size pillow top bed is simply framed by a cream-colored four poster & canopy in the timeless Swedish cottage style and dressed in linens as ethereal as clouds. This suite occupies the entire East wing of the second floor and the lyrical sounds of cascading waters drift in your open windows. Bathed in sunlight, its rooms are bright and cheery on even the cloudiest day (thankfully few and far between in sunny Sequim). This spacious and luxurious 550-sq.ft. suite has a wood-burning fireplace, cozy sitting area, and a writer's alcove for penning your next novel or a postcard home. The private bath also features a vaulted ceiling, skylight, and enchanting seaside motif. The Moonbeam Suite is a wonderfully secluded, romantic getaway.
Amenities
All rooms have pleasant amenities like fluffy down comforters with European-style duvets, plush resort robes, built-in hair dryers, luggage stands, cable TV/VCRs, CD players, and clock radios. Our 310-count sheets are line-dried and pressed for bedding that's truly "fresh as a breeze." Pillows, towels, and linens are from Ralph Lauren, Charisma, Calvin Klein, Bianca, and Orris&Orris.
Main Lodge guests also enjoy a new Sundance hydrotherapy spa under the stars! Because our property is so far removed from city lights, the night sky is simply spectacular. Take one falling star, add a slight mist rising from the ponds, and underscore the peacefulness with an evening symphony of frogs and crickets -- and you'll discover a truly memorable way to end the day.
