Surrounding Area

Denali Touch Of Wilderness inn is located on Stampede Rd, which was the old Stampede Trail, back during the gold rush years. We are about 6 miles for the town of Healy, and around 16 scenic miles from Denali National park entrance. Our Inn sets in a secluded area, surrounded by trees and mountains. In the summer, we are only a mile away from horseback rides, dog cart rides, nice area to mountain bike or just do some hiking. We are only a short distance from the park entrance, where there are rafting, kayaking, golfing, cover wagon rides, airplane or helicopter flights, park slide shows, ranger hikes, park tours, dog demonstrations, gift shops, restaurants and dinner theathers.
In the winter, if the snow will cooperates, we have cross country skiing, snow shoe hiking, snow mobiling, dog sled rides or if you would like to learn to handle a team and go with the trainer on a run that can be arranged also. In the winter we do offer evening meals to our guest only.

Accommodations

Our Inn offers: 8 bedrooms year round, 9 bedrooms in the summer. each room has it's own special charm and may be viewed on our photo page on our home site. We have two large lounge areas with fireplaces, Satilite TV, VCR, Movies, Books, games and computer access for e-mail. A kitchenette area, with coffee pot, microwave, and refrigerator. Coffee, hot chocolate and tea is available at all times. A breakfast room with fireplace. A Jacuzzi Hot Tub on outside decking, We are still working on our outside landscaping but it's mostly natural surroundings.

Rooms/Suites

Each room is different. We have two rooms that share a bath. Each room has two double beds, some antiques and individually decorated. Bath is accross the hall.
We have three rooms that have only one queen bed in them, private bath, some antiques.
We have four rooms that have one queen bed and one double bed in them, private bath, some antiques.
Rooms are mostly decorated in a country style. Only two rooms have full bath, the rest have showers only. All rooms have telephones.

Amenities

In the off season, we do host small retreats, business getaways, small parties or family gratherings or just weekend get aways.
Full range of meals are offered in the off season for guest only.
Our Jacuzzi Hot Tub runs all year for the adventurers who want to sit under the stars in the sub zero weather.

Services Offered

We do not offer the service but we do have massage therapist in the area and appointments can be made ahead of a message. She comes to our Inn by appointment only.

Policies & Restrictions

We are a non smoking Inn. You may smoke outside only!! No pets are allowed in the house. If you want to leave you pet in the car that is fine but they will not be allowed in the house.
In the summer we do have a age limit of 6 or older.

Rates & Availability

Our Summer rates are $95 for the Shared bath rooms. Private baths range from $105 to $130
Off Season. from May 16th to 31st. and Sept 1st to 25th. The sahred bath rooms are $70 and the Private baths range from $85 to $95.
Winter rates are shared bath is $60 and the private baths are $75 to $85.
All rooms are subject to a 7% bed tax and are based on single/double occupancy. Breakfast is included with room rate.

Other Information

Our Cancellation policy is as follows: If cancelled up to one month of scheduled stay there would be a $15 fee. If cancelled within the month it would be a $35 fee. If you cancel within two days of the stay and we can't rerent room you will lose the deposit.

We are working on some winter packages with the snowmobile and dog mushing people, so look for that information on our website later this summer.

Directions

We are 266 miles north on parks highway from Anchorage. About 16 miles north on parks highway from the Denali Park entrance, Around 6 miles north on parks highway from Healy and three miles east on Stampede Rd off the parks highway. And 110 miles south of Fairbanks.

We do offer 10% Senior discounts and 3 - day stay discounts, 15% 5 - day stay discounts, 5% AARP, return guest or military discount.
