The area is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. Hiking, biking, golf, downhill and cross-country skiing, snow boarding, horseback riding, tennis, and many other sports are readily available within minutes of The Highlands inn. Scenic drives are also popular. The scenery is spectacular year round, but especially during the fall foliage season.
Premier women's resort on 100 wooded acres in New Hampshire's beautiful White Mountains. The Highlands Inn is a complex of 3 buildings - the Main Inn, the Farmhouse, and our rustic Cottage. The Inn has 19 guest rooms, all with private baths. Rooms and common areas are distinctively furnished with antiques, fine linens, original artwork, and fresh flowers, creating the ambiance of a Victorian country home. Out & About travel magazine awarded its prestigious Editor's Choice Award to The Highlands Inn every year since the award was initiated in 1994 - "recognizing outstanding achievement in gay travel, chosen on the basis of excellence, innovation, and solid gay-family travel values."
54-ft heated pool, large private indoor jacuzzi, outdoor jacuzzi adjacent to pool, 15 miles of trails for hiking and cross-country skiing on the property, large fireplaced living room and library, extensive lesbian/gay video collection. Many excellent restaurants (gourmet and casual) within minutes of the Inn.
Massage is available - call in advance for an appointment. Some packages provide breakfast served in your room, otherwise breakfast is served in the large, sunny breakfast room.
No smoking inside buildings.
$110 - $220, 2 persons, per night. Rates include delicious country breakfast. Your pet may join you at the Farmhouse or Cottage for an additional charge per night per pet.
