Description of Surrounding Area

Big Bear Lake is a year round resort located in the San Bernardino mountains in Southern California. Average daytime temperature in the summer is 72 degrees. Big Bear Lake’s 22 miles of shoreline is
lined with huge boulders and juniper and pine trees.

Lake activities include swimming, boating, sailboarding, water-skiing, jet-skiing, and fishing for bass, trout, and catfish. Fisherman and walkers
enjoy the walkway along shoreline of the Stanfield Marsh nature preserve.

In the winter, Snow Summit and Big Bear Mountain offer the best skiing and snowboarding in Southern California. When the snow is gone, the
winter’s ski trails become mountain bike trails.

Biking and hiking are popular activities. There are over 500 miles of trails throughout the San Bernardino National Forest. Pacific Crest Trail is popular for hikers and horseback riders. Horseback riding is available year round.

The Discovery Center features interpretive and educational programs by staff naturalists. Moonridge Animal Park is home to the only grizzlies still in Big Bear. Golfers may play 9 holes at the Big Bear Mountain Golf Course.

Astronomers photograph solar flares and sunspots from the Big Bear Solar Observatory which sits on the causeway off the North Shore. During the summer, tours are available to the public.

Village and Moonridge shopping provides a wide assortment of unique gifts representing the area. There are also many antique stores to delight antique lovers. Big Bear dining offers plenty of great restaurants, including two on the lake, as well as most of the popular fast food chains.

With the wonderful weather, the majestic scenery of the lake and the San Bernardino mountains, you too will discover our ‘little bit of heaven’.

Each of our 5 guest rooms is uniquely furnished and includes beautiful space photography. If romance is in your stars, our rooms will set the mood with private spa tub, fireplace, fresh cut flowers, evening turndown service, lavish terry guest robes, heated towels, and complimentary bubble bath and aromatic bath oil. When you’re ready for bed, snuggle down into the soft down comforter topping your luxurious queen size featherbed. Room amenities include tv/dvd/vcr and phone. One guest bedroom accommodates the needs of handicapped guests.

Open year round, each stargazing opportunity is uniquely different and presents a wide range of objects to see including earth’s moon, planets, galaxies, star clusters,
nebula, comets, lunar eclipses, meteors, and satellites.

Even with the naked eye, the night skies are breathtaking. Just viewing the Milky Way in all its glory is impressive. When using the inn’s computerized telescope views
are enhancing, making exceptional observing experiences are possible.

Amenities

During your stay at the inn you will have an opportunity to star gaze with a qualified star guide. Open year round, each stargazing opportunity is uniquely different and presents a wide range of objects to see including earth’s moon, planets, galaxies, star clusters, nebula, comets, lunar eclipses, meteors, and satellites.

Services Offered

Massage therapy is available on call from professional massage therapists. Complimentary shuttle service is available for guests to ski resorts, special events and the local Big Bear Airport. A full concierge service is available to assist guests with special requests and dining and
activities reservations.

Restrictions

The use of the facilities is restricted to registered guests.

Children: Astronomy and stargazing program may be appropriate for older, well-behaved children. Licensing restrictions limits room occupancy to two persons, regardless of age.

Pets: No pets allowed. (Innkeeper has pets, but they are not allowed in the inn.)

Smoking: No smoking permitted in the inn. Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas.

Alcohol: Alcoholic consumption is permitted. Wine is served during the evening social hour. You may also bring your own.

Refreshment Center: A refrigerator, microwave and beverage service are available in the 24-hour refreshment center located in the dining room. Per health and safety ordinances, the kitchen is off-limits to guests. Cooking is not allowed at any time in the guest areas.

Rates & Availability

Weekends: $235 per night, double occupancy. Subject to availability. Two night minimum.

Weekdays: $200 per night, double occupancy. Subject to availability.

Holiday periods: $250 per night, double occupancy. Subject to availability. Call office for required minimum stay.

Other Information

Payment: Cash, all major credit cards, EZ Check within 3 days of arrival date.

Deposit: One night or 50% of entire stay at time of reservation. Balance due 2 weeks prior to stay (30 days holiday periods).

Check-in: 3pm - 8pm. Please advise if you will be early or late. I will do my best to accommodate you. Check-out: 11am.

Confirmation: Once your reservation has been confirmed and your deposit verified, you will be mailed a
formal confirmation along with any other information you may have requested.

Cancellation: Should your plans change after making reservations, please notify us at least 14 days in
advance to receive a 75% refund of your deposit. It will not be possible to refund any deposit of a
reservation that is canceled with less than 14 days advance notice unless the canceled room is rebooked.
A $50 (50% holidays) cancellation fee will be assessed. For holidays and special events, a 30-day
cancellation policy is in effect.

Directions

Big Bear Lake is a convenient weekend getaway from
Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, and
San Diego counties, as well as Palm Springs and Las
Vegas.

From Los Angeles and Orange counties, take the San
Bernardino Freeway (Hwy 10) East to 30/330
Mountain Resorts. Follow signs to Big Bear Lake.
Take Big Bear Blvd past the village to Jeffries Road.
Turn right. Inn is on the corner of Oak and Jeffries.

Closest major airport: Ontario International,
Ontario, CA. Charter flights from major Southern
California airports to Big Bear airport are available.

Discounts Offered

Grand Opening Special: Book 2 nights. Second night is 1/2 price. Subject to availability.

Last Minute: Book within 72 hours, Sunday-Thursday, stay is $175 per night, double occupancy.
