Description of Surrounding Area
Low keyed, informal retreat, the perfect place to relax in a scenic country setting. Hike to Race Brook Falls, the Appalachian Trail, and the summit of Mt. Race. Ski Butternut and Catamount, cross country ski, canoe the Housatonic, fly fish the Konkapot River, ride, bike, walk, bird watch , enjoy the outdoors.
Description of Accommodations
Common areas and guest rooms are decorated in a warm, cozy style of textured fabrics, stenciling, eclectic arts, hand hewn beams and wide plank floors. The Horseshoe Wine Bar is a congenial corner for guests to meet and settle in with a great book. Enjoy a hearty and wholesome breakfast buffet featuring freshly roasted Barrington Coffee.
Description of Rooms/Suites
Guest rooms on 3 levels are tucked into the Hayloft, Harness Barn, Hoop Shed and Ice House. They include King, Queen and Full Double rooms, connecting room suites, and adjoining twin bedded kids quarters. All accommodations have private baths and A/C. Rooms at Race Brook are chintz free, smoke free, phone free, and TV free! Chance to read a good book.

Just a few lazy paces from our lodge. The historic Stagecoach Hill Tavern offers both fine and casual dining in quintessential 18th century ambience.

The Berkshires, foremost cultural destination featuring Tanglewood, Norman Rockwell Museum, Mass MOCA, Jacob’s Pillow, Berkshire Theater Festival & Barrington Stage. Famous for galleries, antiques and a vast array of excellent restaurants.
