There are many local attractions in and around Bourg. Swamp tours and fishing charters are available. Madewood Plantation is within minutes, as is Laura Plantation or Oak Alley Plantation. Southdown Plantation museum and Terrebonne Waterlife Museum are interesting and informative. Antiques stores and gift shops are conveniently located. Golfing is also possible.

Description of Accommodations

All 4 rooms rooms are air-conditioned, non-smoking rooms. All have queen size beds. One of our rooms has a private bath, and the other three have shared baths. The rooms are well decorated according to season. Flowers adorn this spacious home inside and out. A common area can be used for watching television or Internet use.

Amenities

There are many restaurants within minutes; most of them being seafood restaurants, but there are Mexican, Chinese, Japanese or Italian restaurants also. There are night clubs and there are places to listen to and dance to Cajun Music.

Dinner is offered at $10.00 per person extra with prior reservation.

Restrictions

No pets and smoking is allowed outside in designated area only! Children are welcome.

Rates & Availability

Our rates are $65.00 per couple, plus tax.
With dinner, our rates are $85.00 per couple, plus tax.
There is a $20.00 extra charge per person in the same room.
Children under age 13 are charged $15.00 and over age 13 as an adult.

Each morning you will awaken your senses to the smell of fresh coffee brewing and the aroma of fresh pastries baking, as you begin your day exploring the bayous, visiting museums or plantations. Julia's is an ideal base for travelers who want to experience Cajun life to its fullest, and is perfectly located for every traveler's dream. For the outdoorsman there's an abundance of wildlife to photograph and bayous to fish. With our great hospitality and scrumptious meals, you will definitley create a memory of a liftime here.

Directions

Directions from New Orleans to Bourg: Take Hwy 90 West towards Houma until you reach the first Houma exit, which is Exit 210. Turn right on Exit 210. Then turn left on Hwy 182W and travel 3.8 miles until the first red light at Hwy 3087. Turn left on Hwy 3087and travel 4.8 miles. You will cross over Prospect Street Bridge until Hwy 659 (there is an CVS Drugstore on your left). Turn left on Hwy 659 and travel 2.7 miles and then turn right at the first traffic light on Hwy. 24. Go 100 yards and turn left on Country Drive. You will see the Bourg Post Office on your right. Take the first street on the right which is Benton Drive. Proceed to 4021 Benton Drive.
