Active Adventure

Bicycle tour along moderately easy countryside from the beautiful and important city of Avignon through the countryside of Provence. Visit the Pont du Gard, the villages of Uzes, Tarascon, Arles, St Remy de Provence and the site of Baux de Provence. Riding is mostly flat with some rolling sections and one hill. You are met at the tour start and transferred to your first hotel. From there you ride your own pace using our detailed route information to see the sites and visit along your way. This tour can be done by most people who cycle frequently; average riding 40km per day. Best in May, June, September and October. But available April-October.

Typical Day

Buffet breakfast, departure at a time of your choosing. Ride at your pace and visit all the sites of interest to you for as long as you prefer. Stop for lunch in a local restaurant or have a picnic along the road under a tree in the quiet shade. Visit a wine producer, or olive mill, or any of the other many local artisans throughout the countryside. Arrive later in the afternoon at your next hotel and enjoy a dip in the pool before dinner and a restful evening. Eh oui, c'est la vie provencale!

children to seniors, singles to groups, couples and families. Some child equipment available; parents should be experienced before traveling on bicycles with kids.
