Description of Activity/Tour
Our back roads tours include a 3 1/2 tour on the scenic country roads of Ohio's Amish Country. We will visit a few Amish Artisans, take a buggy ride, tour a one room school house and 2 former lived in Amish homes.
We can add a meal in an Amish home.
Artisans included, a basket maker, candle maker, broom maker, quilters and Amish owned country stores that does not have electricity.
Typical Day
10:00 Depart Yoders Amish Farm for the back road tour.
1:30 Return to Yoders for the house tour, buggy ride and school house tour.
5:30 Meal in an Amish home.
Age range, type of group
Our tours are geared for any age. We have worked with family reunions, girl and boy scout groups, church, youth and quilting groups. There is no minimum number required for this tour.
Sleeping and meals
If you need assistance in finding lodging, camping, etc, feel welcome to contact us. We can arrange for you to stay at an Amish home.
Restrictions
No pets on the tour.No smoking on the bus or in the places we visit.Cameras may be brought along, but no pictures of Amish are permitted due to their interpretation of the Graven Image Commandment.
