Day 6: Sun City.
Morning – Golf at the Gary Player CC (2003 rating – 1st). SA’s most famous sportsman designed and gave his name to this superb modern resort course. The course has many sets of tee and can be enjoyed by players of very different abilities. The fairways are in the main generously wide, but are bordered by untended African bushveld; this and the tricky greens constitute the course’s main defences.
After golf a lazy afternoon next to the pool or on the beach at the valley of waves, or you could join the rest of the group in their quest to complete the list of optional activities.

Non-Golfers – Today is available to continue with that list of optional activities of your choice.

The rest of the evening is free to enjoy the Sun City Resort and Casino.

Day 7: Sun City – Magalies Park (Hartebeespoort Dam)
Morning - Golf at The Lost City GC (2003 rating – 21st). The Sun City’s ‘second’ course, though designer Gary Player has always preferred it to it’s more renowned sibling, the Gary Player CC. It abounds with surprises: a clubhouse which looks like the Zimbabwe Ruins; a short hole (the 13th) played over a crocodile infested pit to a green shaped like the continent of Africa; view site tees accessed by spiralling buggy-paths. And among its aesthetic attractions are baobab trees, cacti and troops of baboons.

Non-Golfers – This morning is your last chance to complete the list of optional activities or you could just pass the time next to the pool or on the beach at the valley of waves.

Afternoon transfer to the Magalies Park Resort on the banks of the Hartebeespoort Dam, where we will book in for the next two nights.

Day 8: Magalies Park (Hartebeespoort Dam).
Morning - After Breakfast we go on a scenic drive around the Hartebeespoort Dam, which will include the Welwitschia Country Market, Snake and Animal Park, Hartebeespoort Dam Aquarium and even a ride up the Magalies Berg by means of the Cableway.

Golfers – Early afternoon tee-off at Pecanwood Golf Estate (2003 rating – 10th). This is the only Jack Nicklaus ‘signature’ golf course in Africa built on the shoreline of the Hartebeespoort Dam. The layout bears the Nicklaus hallmarks of generously wide fairways and large, multi –featured greens. It is difficult for a golfer to loose a ball at Pecanwood – other than in a water hazard, of which there are several – but the course is abundantly and severely bunkered, and the putting surfaces are slick and demanding. This is a course that is surely to give you a lot of enjoyment.

Non-Golfers – An afternoon visit to Van Gaalen Kaasmakerij. Annelies van Gaalen immigrated from one of Holland’s big cities to Skeerpoort, a small farming community in the Hartebeespoort Dam area. Annelies combines a demonstration of the cheese making process with a special Dutch cheese tasting on the farm.

We end this beautiful day with a Sundowner cruise on the dam followed by a Lamb on the spit-braai dinner.

Day 9: Magalies Park (Hartebeespoort Dam).
This morning can be leisurely spent at the Magalies Park Resort partake in one of the following two optional activities.

1. The day can be used to explore the region on a Safari & Champagne Breakfast with BILL HARROP’ ORIGINAL BALLOON SAFARIS. Enjoy the "magical experience" of lazily drifting with the wind. Hover gently over the treetops or soar high amongst the clouds. Savour a freshly cooked, hearty champagne bush-breakfast after landing.

2. Or for those with a fear of heights, a group Champagne Breakfast can be arranged on the “Kolgans” ferryboat. The trip on the "Kolgans" takes you into the interesting sites along the dam's edge and at the same time fulfils you with nature’s wonders.

Afternoon – A visit to “The Elephant Sanctuary”. Nestled in pristine unspoilt bush, is the home of five African elephants: Maroela, Mosadi, Khumba, Jabu & Thandi. Our guides will welcome you and share interesting facts about the bush & our wonderful elephants.

Day 10: Magalies Park (Hartebeespoort Dam) – Misty Hills Country Hotel (Muldersdrift)
Morning - After an early morning breakfast we line-up for tee off on the Magalies Park Country Club. The course rating for men is 72 and for ladies 70. While the course may not be very long, it does not however mean that the golfer can take out his driver and play to his heart's content. A number of small trees have been strategically placed and although there are few water holes and no bunkers this is not a course for the faint-hearted, making for a challenging game of golf any day.

Non-Golfers – Art route around Hartebeespoort Dam

Afternoon: From here we travel via the scenic Magalies Meander route towards the small but interesting town of Magaliesburg. In Magaliesburg we will visit many interesting little shops and curio such as: Pandora’s Box, Delcardo wrought iron furniture and gifts, Crystal Feeling, Elephant Foot Fairy Gallery and El Paso Leather Shoppe. Before we head on towards Johannesburg we make a quick stop at Hennigdale Ostrich Farm to see what these long-neck-feathered birds are up to.

After a busy day we book in at the Misty Hills Country Hotel.
Dinner at the Carnivore is an experience never to forget. After dinner we relax around the campfire at the boma while sipping away on a glass of DAWA (a unique Vodka mix)

Day 11: Misty Hills Country Hotel (Muldersdrift)
Morning – Golf at the Roodepoort CC (2003 rating – 26th). A layout, which lays legitimate, claims to be an “inland links”. The big course was designed by Ron Kirby and overseen by the Gary Player Group.

Non-Golfers – A visit to the Lesedi Cultural Experience. A true African welcome introduces you to the village life of the Zulu, Ndebele, Sotho, Pedi and Xhosa, the Ndebele African theatre and craft market and the Lesedi dancers.

Afternoon – After we had freshened up at the hotel the group head out to “The Cradle of Humankind” World Heritage Site, Wonder cave and Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve. Set in the beautiful Kromdraai Conservancy, this haven from the hustle and bustle of the city boasts White Rhino, Lion, Buffalo, Hippo, Cheetah, Wild dog and more than twenty other species of game.

Dinner at the Monte Casino in Fourways.
Overnight at Misty Hills.

Day 12: Misty Hills Country Hotel (Muldersdrift) – Protea Hotel Balalaika & Crown Court (Sandton)

Day 13: Return Home.
