We have spent our summer holidays at La Prairie. Our children loved riding the horses, fishing in the pond and using the swimming pool.
They are already insisting that we return next year!
We even had good weather !! ... more

Our whole Classic car group stayed at La Prairie and some other Gites nearby - we had a great time ..plenty of parking for the cars! ..and a lovely place to rest our heads at night after lots of driving and visiting Chateaux and Vineyards.

The Loire Valley does not need too much of an introduction; It is known as the garden of France, fine wines, fine food - all are grown in this lovely region.
The Kings and Queens of previous years obviously thought that the area was a good one, for it is here that you will find all the famous Chateaux and gardens ranging from Amboise, Chambord, Chenonceau, Azay Le Rideau and Saumur.
It is also the home of The Cadre Noir in Saumur (classical dressage for horses), Troglodyte villages built into the local stone, Futuroscope etc..
We have 3 superb self catering Gites (cottages) and also offer B&B accommodation.
La Prairie is situated on 20 acres of grassland (for our horses), pretty gardens, 2 x lakes, patios and BBQ as well as our heated outdoor swimming pool!!
Horse Riding on site, French cookery lessons, Fishing, Quads and French language lessons can all be arranged!
We also have other Gites situated quietly on their own with private pools if you prefer!!
All the rooms, whether B&B or Gite accommodation have large comfortable beds with good quality Antiques throughout.
Restaurants close by.
Swimming pool and Bicycles on site.
Smoking outside only.
Sorry, no pets - we do have a kennel for small dogs available, but it is outside!
