Located in the Florida "nature coast" region, this cabin sits directly on the famous Suwannee River, a great place for swimming, boating, fishing, canoeing/kayaking, and home to hundreds of natural springs (72 degrees year round) for snorkeling and scuba diving. Nearby are many state parks for hiking, (including tubing down the Ichetucknee River), and historic towns for antiquing. The cabin is peaceful and secluded with terrific views of the river and many opportunities for viewing wildlife and interesting Florida birds. Bring your fishing poles, bathing suits and binoculars!

Vacation Rental Property
This lovely A-frame cabin has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths plus an outdoor shower. With wood floors throughout, a glass fronted wood stove, ceiling fans, vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows facing the river, it is a charming , comfortable retreat. The outside deck overlooks the river and has a picnic table and gas grill. There are 2 canoes available with pads, paddles and life jackets, a hammock, tire swing and outdoor fire pit with plenty of firewood for nightly campfires.

Sleeps & # of Bedrooms
The upstairs loft bedroom overlooks the living area and has a queen sized bed and attached bathroom with a claw foot tub. A private balcony off the bathroom faces the front yard with the woods and fields beyond. The downstairs bedroom also has a queen sized bed. The second bathroom is downstairs and has a walk-in shower. The outdoor shower is also very refreshing and a great place to rinse off after playing in the river.

Other Information
The cabin faces the Suwannee River on one side, and a large field with planted pine forests beyond on the other side. We have planted the front yard with grapes, blueberry bushes and fruit trees and our guests are welcome to the orchard when in season. The approach to the house is via a number of dirt roads, great for long walks among cow pastures and woods.Some of the wildlife we have seen from the cabin are jumping mullet and sturgeon, alligators, sand hill cranes, all manner of egrets and herons, hawks, owls, eagles, kites, tanagers.... Turkeys, fox, deer, otter, beaver, raccoon, armadillo, opossum, skunk, snakes, wild pigs-- they are all there if you can take the time to spot them.
