It is a paradise for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and pony trekkers; also nearby you can enjoy fishing, swimming, golf, indoor and outdoor bowls. This is a wonderful location to explore Mid Wales and visit its many attractions. We are also within easy reach of the wonderful beaches of West Wales. Llanwrtyd Wells, Powys lies in the heart of spectacular, panoramic views with the Cambrian Mountains to the north and the Epynt Range to the south.

Accommodations

This little haven is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy a holiday in a friendly attentive atmosphere. Your hosts are proud of their Welsh heritage. Plas Newydd is an elegant, large, red brick house built for our family in 1911. A secure lock up shed is available for bikes also ample off road parking.We are happy for you to stroll and sit in our well maintained garden. We have achieved first prize for our Frontal FloralDisplay on numerous occassions.

Rooms/Suites

Our guests accommodation features en-suite, and private double and single rooms. The rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished with a wealth of homely touches. Bedrooms have wash hand basins, TV, beverage trays, thermostat controlled radiators, clock/radios, toiletries, robes, tissues, FREE WiFi etc. Welsh cakes or bara brith are provide daily on your beverage tray. Recently a guest wrote "no detail has been overlooked". You may relax in our exquisitely decorated lounge/dining room and watch the colour television or DVD Player with films provided for guests only.

Amenities

Within easy walking distance are a number of pubs and restaurants which provide superb food.Also we have a Tourist Information Centre with a Tele Centre where you can read or send your emails.

Services Offered

Room service is provided daily and we just want you to feel at home with us as you are free to come and go as you please. If a problem should arise I am here to help you, do please remember that. At Plasnewydd we welcome you as our guests but ensure that you leave as our friends.

Policies & Restrictions

We would appreciate that guests adhere to our strictly no smoking policy. We are unable to accept pets. Due to the traditional style of our home we are unable to accommodate children under 5years of age.

Rates & Availability

We are open all the year around with the exception as from 23rd December until 2nd January. For 2011 our rates for bed and breakfast will be from £30 per person per night.

Directions

Llanwrtyd Wells lies on the picturesque Heart of Wales Railway Line which runs between Swansea and Shrewsbury. We are within easy walking distance of the railway station. To find Plas Newydd driving in a westerly direction from Builth Wells on the A483 turn left immediately after the Spar shop, and travel up the road for approximately 250 yards. Our bed and breakfast is the large Edwardian red brick house on the left hand side. We are within 1.5hours drive from the Severn Bridge.
