Blue Ridge Parkway Adventure
The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of America’s true hidden treasures. Designed as a scenic drive linking the Smoky Mountain and Shenandoah National Parks, the Parkway is a gateway to outdoor bliss.
This multisport vacation unleashes the magnificence of the Parkway through wondrous bicycling, breathtaking hiking and delightful horseback riding. Hike to Grandfather Mountain and Mount Mitchell (the highest point east of the Mississippi) and take in the magical vistas, covering 800 square miles of some of the oldest mountains on Earth.
Blessed with a feel-good mountain town atmosphere, our trip begins in Blowing Rock. Our trip is designed for both the hiking enthusiast and the cycling enthusiast to enjoy, so right from the start, you’ll have the option to hike some peaceful wagon trails to a mountain summit, or mount our custom bicycles and begin enjoying the Parkway. Each day will have a variety of options, from hiking to biking to simply relaxing by the pool back at the inn. There are always shorter and longer routes available, to accommodate comfort and ability levels. Whatever your speed, the mountains, wildlife and waterfalls of western North Carolina are nothing short of inspirational.

This tour has been largely designed to accommodate both hiking enthusiasts and cycling enthusiasts. On many of the days, guests will have the option to do one or the other. On several days, both hiking and cycling options exist. Typically there is 15-30 miles biking, with longer options available. Hiking distances range from 3 miles to 8 miles, with some good ascents. Minimum age is 15 years old;
Sleeping and meals
Eating well has never been a problem on our tours! You can eat as much or as little as you like. Some choose to snack all day, while others choose to work up their appetite for the fine cuisine later in the day. Either way, active travel is conducive to eating, because you can always pedal the extra mile! Our accommodations include a bed & breakfast in the town of Blowing Rock, a charming inn tucked away on a mountain crest just off of the Parkway, and a fabulous restored lodge in Asheville.
Cell phones and anything having to do with work!
