In a quiet neighborhood near one of the best beaches on Maui your tropical home-away-from-home awaits you. Here, you'll wake up to birds singing, and the sweet scent of exotic flowers. The sound of waves lapping on Charlie Youngs Beach beckons you for a short stroll down to the sea to swim and sun bathe on what has been called the best beach on Maui. On a 1/4 acre of lush tropical landscaping in South Kihei lies exotic, tropical bliss; just 100 yards away is Charlie Young Beach on the North end Kamaole Beach I.

After a short walk down to the ocean you'll find warm clear water to snorkel in where crabs, turtles and tropical fish await your discovery. Then enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants like Maui Tacos or KKO Restaurant across the street from the beach. After lunch you may stop and enjoy some shaved ice for dessert or shop at one the many stores you?ll pass on the way home. The weather in Kihei is almost always sunny with a nice breeze to cool you off. You will find golf, surfing, wind surfing, body boarding, and great shopping and dining just a stone's throw away.

Vacation Rental Property

All of McCasland homes are equipped with king- or queen-size Sealy Posturpedic mattresses and box springs in their bedrooms and with comfortable fold-out queen-size futon sleeper sofas in their livingrooms. And the sheets and pillowcases are all 300-thread count Egyptian cotton, for your luxurious comfort.

Many of the properties feature high, vaulted ceilings. So you can open all the windows and doors and let the refreshing tropical breezes blow. But when it gets hot, as it does on occasion, you also have the convenience of through-the-wall air conditioning units. (They were installed through-the-wall to avoid blocking off any windows.) Another "renter beware tip": Many properties on Maui do not have air conditioning. This can be a rude awakening for lots of vacationers, assuming they can ever get to sleep in the first place when it gets really hot.

Troy and Susan McCasland have always treated each property as if it was their only property and as if they themselves were the only ones who would ever stay there. They have thus provided all of the conveniences that they themselves would want. Including, of course, a washer and a dryer, and an iron and ironing board. No need to pack up dirty clothes and spend a precious afternoon of your vacation at the laundromat.

And a fully-equipped kitchen. Susan McCasland, is among the best customers of The Container Store, Crate and Barrel, and other stores selling high-quality furnishings. Whenever she and Troy buy a new property, they toss out the hand-me-down junk and start fresh with all new, top-quality pots and pans and kitchen equipment.

Restaurant dining on Maui can be expensive. Spending $100 for dinner for two at a nice place is common, as is spending $200 at a really nice place. So being able to buy fresh fish and other foods and cook them ?at home? can save you a lot of money. After all, even on vacation, no one wants to eat at a restaurant every night.

The My Maui Condos/McCasland properties rent for about what you'd pay for accommodations in a "condohotel." But they offer more square feet?plenty of room to stretch out?and none of the crowds that make you feel packed in with all those people. They also offer free access to condohotel amenities like tennis courts, swimming pools, and a Jacuzzi. Just drive down the road a mile and a bit, show your guest pass (supplied with your rental), and you?re in!

We price all of our properties at or just below market rates, and are usually completely booked during high season. We have fairly high occupancy during the slow season, so don't wait until the last minute or you will be disappointed when someone else books your unit.

We offer the following last-minute specials:

10% off for reservations 4 weeks prior to arrival
20% off for reservations 3 weeks prior to arrival
30% off for reservations 2 weeks or less prior to arrival.

To take advance of the last minute special, place your reservation online and agree to all the rental terms and conditions. Our reservation system will show full price. After placing your reservation, you will immediately receive a confirmation e-mail. When your confirmation e-mail arrives, reply saying you agree to the rental terms and conditions with the last minute special rate. We will then adjust your rate on the back end, and send you a confirmation e-mail.
