In a quiet neighborhood near one of the best beaches on Maui your tropical home-away-from-home awaits you. Here, you�ll wake up to birds singing, and the sweet scent of exotic flowers. The sound of waves lapping on Charlie Young�s Beach beckons you for a short stroll down to the sea to swim and sun bathe on what has been called the best beach on Maui. On a 1/4 acre of lush tropical landscaping in South Kihei lies exotic, tropical bliss; just 100 yards away is Charlie Young Beach on the North end Kamaole Beach I.

After a short walk down to the ocean you�ll find warm clear water to snorkel in where crabs, turtles and tropical fish await your discovery. Then enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants like Maui Tacos or KKO Restaurant across the street from the beach. After lunch you may stop and enjoy some shaved ice for dessert or shop at one the many stores you�ll pass on the way home. The weather in Kihei is almost always sunny with a nice breeze to cool you off. You will find golf, surfing, wind surfing, body boarding, and great shopping and dining just a stone's throw away.

My Maui Condos is the creation of Troy and Susan McCasland of San Diego, California. It is a collection of top-quality vacation rental properties in the centrally located town of Kihei. And, like the beautiful island of Maui itself, each McCasland property is very special indeed.

There are three main properties in the group. There is the Maui Kamaole condo, the Penthouse, and the Executive house. In addition to their main living areas, the Penthouse and the Executive House have attached, fully-equipped, one-bedroom condos with futon sleep-sofas in their livingrooms. The property featured in this listing is the Penthouse Cottage a 1 bedroom, 1 bath home. It has high vaulted ceilings, Air Conditioning, Washer Dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy one of two pools, and two Jacuzzis at our condo 1 mile South.

After acquiring these properties in December of 2003, Susan spent the next 6 weeks searching the Island for everything she would need to equip our dream home with every modern convenience imaginable. With a penchant for interior design, Susan selected a Tommy Bahamas theme and shopped till she dropped everyday for 6 weeks. She found sold teak furniture from a place in Kahului called the Container Store where imported hand crafted furniture from the island of Bali adorns every room.

For bedding she picked the best mattresses money could buy and topped them with 300-thread count Egyptian designer sheets and soft pillows that even a princess would applaud. Floral bedspreads and colorful local art adorn every bedroom. For electronics we supplied TV�s, Alarm clock radios, and telephones for just about every room in the house. The living room has a CD stereo and DVD player.

Located on the southwest coast of Maui, between Waikapu and Wailea, Kihei offers easy access to eight sandy beaches where you can swim, boogie board, surf, snorkel, and point up your tan nearly 365 days of the year. (Not for nothing is this charming town known as �Sunny Kihei.�) There�s also fantastic ocean kayaking, and whale watching (in season), and Kihei has some of the best wind surfing beaches in Hawaii

Kihei�s central location means that everything is just a short drive away, whether it�s the tropical paradise that is Hana, with its rugged coastline and spectacular waterfalls or the tourist attractions and shopping in Lahaina. Of course, Kihei itself offers so many great food and fresh fish stores, great shopping, and great entertainment options that you may never feel the urge to stray very far afield. In all, Kihei gives its visitors an ideal combination of relaxed island life and all the benefits of �civilization.�

It is worth noting that you can�t take great beaches for granted on Maui. Many are silty, cloudy, or rocky�and many are pounded by waves too large for safe family swimming. That�s why it is wonderful that many of the McCasland My Maui Condos rental properties are located within 100 yards of the Charlie Young Beach, which is the local name for �Kamaole Beach Park 1.� (In their book Maui Revealed, authors Andrew Doughty and Harriet Friedman call the Charlie Young Beach one of the very best beaches on Maui!)

Available year round, Ohana guest house rates go from $99 nightly to $1800 monthly, depending on the season.

Discounts Offered

We price all of our properties at or just below market rates,
and are usually completely booked during high season. We have fairly high occupancy during the slow season, so don't wait until the last minute or you will be disappointed when someone else books your unit.

We offer the following last-minute specials:

10% off for reservations 4 weeks prior to arrival
20% off for reservations 3 weeks prior to arrival
30% off for reservations 2 weeks or less prior to arrival.

To take advance of the last minute special, place your reservation online and agree to all the rental terms and conditions. Our reservation system will show full price.

After placing your reservation, you will immediately receive a confirmation e-mail. When your confirmation e-mail arrives, reply saying you agree to the rental terms and conditions with the last minute special rate. We will then adjust your rate on the back end, and send you a confirmation e-mail.
