Upon a hill which commands one of the most stunning views of Tuscany stands "Il Castello di Pastine", a XIV century residence, surrounded by the castle's private garden-park with ample lawns, olive groves, and 14 hectare age old wood. The park also boats a large swimming pool with a wonderful view of San Gimignano -the famous medieval towered city-, a floodlit tennis court/five-a-side football pich and a large area, equipped with a barbecue grill and a wood oven for pizzas. The particular position of the property, as well as offering tranquillity and privacy with its unique panorama which has been unchanged since 1300, also makes it the perfect spot from which to make pleasant excursions to places in the surrounding countryside; while historical and artistic cities of Florence and Siena are little more than half an hour away.
Within its old farmhouses, in a privileged position in front of the villa and with a large terrace from which the sun can be seen setting, independent apartment have been created, all furnished with care and passion; each one comprised of 2 floors; each one with a large fireplace, terracotta stone flooring, chestnut wood beamed ceilings, a kitchen with oven, fridge and dishwasher; and independent central heating.

Ground floor: large living room, with two entryways and large characteristic windows with views, which is subdivided into three sections: a sitting room with divans, a study, a dining area and kitchen equipped with oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher and large fireplace. First floor: 1 single bedroom, private bathroom with bath/shower, 1 double bedroom and 1 bedroom with 2 beds, 1 bathroom with shower and window.


Apartment 2B: 100 square meter apartment for 4 people. Ground floor: sitting room with divans, two entryways and characteristic terracotta stone vaulted ceiling, living/dining room with large fireplace and independent kitchen furnished with oven, fridge with freezer and dishwasher. First floor: 1 double room and 1 bedroom with 2 beds, 1 bathroom with shower and window.

Apartment 3C: 80 square meter apartment for 4 people. Ground floor: large living room with sitting room area and fireplace, dining area and kitchen with panoramic windows and completely equipped with oven, fridge with freezer and dishwasher. First floor: 1 doule room and 1 bedroom with 2 beds, 1 bathroom with bath/shower and window.

Apartment 4D: 80 square meter apartment for 2 people with three entryways. Ground floor: large living room with a fold-away kitchenette completely equipped with oven, fridge with freezer and dishwasher. First floor: (an open loft) 1 double room, 1 bathroom with shower. Prime location in the garden set up for open air dining. Independent gas central heating. Use of centralised laundry room and ironing board.

Apartment 6F: 200 square meter independent villetta for 6 people in the wood below the swimming pool with independent automatic gated entryway into the provincial road. Nearby Castello di Pastine there are many activities such as: horse back riding; golf; bowling; cinema; pubs; etc.
In several periods of the year in the nearby towns there are many "sagra" (tipical town festivals with fireworks, music, medieval rapresentations, etc.).

Castello di Pastine is the perfect place to start excursions in Tuscany! It's just in the middle between Florence and Siena..a few minutes by car from San Gimignano!!!

CASTELLO DI PASTINE: Get off the motor way A1 at the Firenze Certosa exit and turn left to get onto the Firenze-Siena highway, then get off at the Tavarnelle Val di Pesa exit, go through Tavarnelle Val di Pesa and follow the signs for barberino Val d'Elsa in the direction of poggibonsi. After having gone through the town of Barberino Val d'Elsa turn right on to the provincial road number 50 and follow the signs for Vico d'Elsa-Sant'Appiano. At the second junction, after about 2 kms, turn left and follow the signs for Pastine taking 2 right turns. After about 200m., going past the Pastine road sign on the right, you will come to the entrance gate of the property.
