Situated on the sea-slope overlooking the warm Indian Ocean, The view is breathtaking!
Discover the delights of this lovely guest house and you'll come back for more!
Ideally situated in Uvongo only 500m from the beach - away from the disadvantages of being "in the middle of it all" - yet near enough to enjoy the view, peace and quiet, temperate climate & sea breeze of this idyllic place. The Hibiscus coast is in a class of its own... and so is our Guest House!
If your visit is business or pleasure, you will leave refreshed and want to return time and again.
Uvongo (or Ivungu) is centrally situated on the South Coast & offers amongst other things:
Ø A trip on the "banana express" narrow gauge stream train.
Ø Visit the Oribi Gorge nature reserve spectacular vies, bird watching etc.
Ø An hour from rural Transkei - see the way the Xhosa people have lived for centuries. The Transkei is the birthplace of Nelson Mandela.
Ø Deep-sea fishing and / or dolphin and whale watching charters daily.
Ø Horse riding on the beach.
Ø Bird watching in this area is a must!
Ø Blue flag beaches rated for their safety and altogether high standards at Margate, Ramsgate, Hibberdene & Uvongo.
Ø Visit the nearby crocodile farm.
Ø Don't Miss the annual sardine run (in winter) when massive shoals of sardines move inshore followed by large numbers of game fish etc.
The rooms are en-suite, tastefully furnished, Satellite TV, ceiling fans, and lovely views of the ocean and adjoining sub-tropical landscape. A full English breakfast is served (weather permitting outside!) or a continental breakfast, if that is your preference.
