Rygerfjord Hostel

Permanently docked by the shores of Lake Mälaren, in the heart of Stockholm, the Rygerfjord Hostel allows its guests to experience Stockholm's finest feature, the water, at first hand. The Rygerfjord boat offers accommodation at reasonable prices, and lies within easy walking distance of Old Town and Södermalm.

Rooms range from a single bed cabin to a twelve bed dormitory. Lockers are available (bring your padlock or rent one in the reception). Guests have access to a maritime style lounge with cable television and a bar service. Our main bar hosts a range of Swedish beers and ciders, as well as the usual. During the long summer evenings our top-deck bar is open. Here our guests can enjoy a cold beverage alongside magnificent views of Lake Mälaren.

The restaurant, with fantastic views of the city and Lake Mälaren, serves a buffet for breakfast, weekdays 06.30-10.00 and weekends 08.00-10.30, for SEK 65pp/75pp, snacks throughout the day, and dinner in the evenings and the boat is in an ideal location to make the most of Stockholm's public transport to explore the city's museums, cafes, galleries and night life.

The reception is open every day of the year between 10.00 a.m. and 11 p.m. although it is possible to check in later if arranged in advance. Check in starts at 3 p.m.For your safety we are staffed 24 hours a day. Unfortunately we do not have guest kitchen due to fire regulations.

Sheets included in the price, towel you can rent for SEK 20. It is obligatory to use bed linen and sleeping bags are not allowed.

Cancellations and reservation changes must be done in written form and confirmed by us.

Directions

From Central station or the City Terminal:
You can either take a taxi (5 minutes) or T-bana (red line towards Fruängen or Norsborg) to station Mariatorget (exit Torkel Knutssongatan). On the street you go to the right all the way down to m/s RYGERFJORD (500m).

A taxi would cost SEK 115-140, depending on the taxi-company you choose. We recommend taxi Stockholm, Kurir or Transfer.

T-bana a single ticket is SEK 30 but you can buy a discount multiple ticket (förköpsremsa SEK 180).

From Arlanda airport take the airport bus to city terminal (SEK 110.)

A taxi from Arlanda to Rygerfjord is SEK 450 (ask for fixed price.)

From Skavsta airport take the airport bus to city terminal (SEK 150.)

Local parking is just outside the entrance, payable on weekdays between 9-17, free Saturday and Sunday.

By car:
From E4 / E20 Northbound exit motorway at 'Sodermalm' Cross first bridge (Liljeholms bron.) Before next bridge (Västerbron), turn right at Slussen, Nacka, Sodermalarstrand. Follow Södermälarstrand to the right approx 800 metres.

From E4 / E20 Southbound follow signs E4S exit Centrum. On the bridge (you see the old town on your left) keep in the right lane.

Exit Nacka / Sodermalarstrand
Follow Södermälarstrand to the left approx 500 metres.
