Opened over ten years ago, Hostel of the Sun has long been a favourite with travellers in Naples. Thanks to its great location, incredibly warm atmosphere, spacious and comfortable rooms and welcoming and friendly staff, Hostel of the Sun is also often voted amongst the best hostels in the world at the annual Hoscars awards.
We are also proud to have been recently selected as a member of the Europe's Famous Hostels network.

As soon as you arrive at Hostel of the Sun one of our staff will sit down with you and explain everything there is to know about and do in Naples: including suggesting places to visit, most delicious places to eat and will help you plan out every moment of your stay in and around Naples.

Our common room and kitchen provide an open atmosphere for mingling and making new friends from all over the world. In the evening everybody crowds around our in-house bar for the Happy Hour and the (fast becoming…) world-famous Rocktails! We also have a well-equipped guest kitchen, provide free breakfast, free linen and free WiFi throughout.

Hostel of the Sun is located in the safest part of Naples city centre and just a few steps from the ferry terminal in the port and bus terminal for Pompei and the Amalfi Coast and a short bus trip away from train station.

We provide all the help you need to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum, the Amalfi Coast and Vesuvius as well as organising amazing boat trips around the beautiful island of Capri.

Close to the sea front, two steps from the "Castel dell' Ovo", the "Borgo Santa Lucia", the famous "Piazza del Plebiscito" on to which face the "Palazzo Reale", the "San Carlo Theatre" and the "Umberto the 1st" Gallery.

While preserving a very central situation we are connected by Via Morelli, the famous street of the antique dealers, to Piazza dei Martiri and the Via dei Mille, the shopping area and meeting place for the Neapolitan "Movida".
Easily accessible, from the Naples motorway (exit Fuorigrotta 2km), from Capodichino Airport (5km) or the railroad station of Napoli-Mergellina (1km), close to the ferry terminal (1km) for those who want to go to the islands or along the coast towards Sorrento or Amalfi, all you need to do is choose where to embark on the hydrofoil either from Molo Beverello or Mergellina, we are located halfway between the two.
