*White water rafting trips are booked when you arrive at the Banff Alpine Centre and are highly dependent on weather and river conditions beyond our control. As such, availability for either the Kicking Horse and Horseshoe Canyon trips cannot be guaranteed until check-in - our front desk agents will do their absolute best to get the trip you are looking for!

THE ICE WALL: Interested in ice climbing? A beginner? Lessons every Tuesday (For only $20.00 per person for all equipment and instruction). We offer group rates and private lessons as well. Are you an experienced ice climber? Bring all of your own equipment and climb our wall for free!

PRICES: Rates are quoted for Hostelling International members. All non-members will be charged an additional $4.00 per person / per night upon arrival ($8.00 a night for private rooms). Prices included all applicable taxes. Membership can be purchased at the hostel.

Directions

1)On Banff Avenue, take public transit; tell the driver you want to go to the hostel on Tunnel Mountain Road and he'll drop you off at our door! (The bus runs every 40 minutes)

2) Grab a taxi - it costs between $6 and $7 dollars depending on where you jump on and it's a quick ride to our front door.

3) Walk! If it's a nice day, it's a great way to see the town and the mountains. We're about a 20-minute walk from the bus station. Just leave the station, turn left on Lynx st., left on Wolf st., left on Tunnel Mountain Drive and follow the road to the top of the hill. Look for our sign on the left hand side of the road right after Tunnel Mountain Chalets.
