This is an amazingly gorgeous hostel with stunning views overlooking Gialos Port. Francesco's is a classy, happening place for backpackers in the heart of party-â€til-dawn Ios Town. Itâ€s a 10-minute walk from the main beach and there are also six other beaches within comfortable walking distance.
Weâ€re a family-run hostel where everybody is made to feel at home and all your needs are catered to. From the time you arrive to the time you depart you become part of the Francescoâ€s family.
There are double, triple, and quad rooms available for up to 150 people. All rooms have been newly renovated. Most have private bathrooms and there are also rooms available with shared facilities. All rooms are serviced daily as we pride ourselves on how spotlessly clean our accommodation is, we realize what a difference this makes to a guests stay.
All private rooms have air conditioning, televisions and telephones. A number of rooms have private balconies with ocean views.
There are also dorm beds available for solo travellers.
There is an air-conditioned terrace bar with satellite television as well as a breakfast cafe which overlooks the port, beach and one of the best sunset views on the island, as you can see in the photo. We even have Vegemite on toast for the Aussies!
New to the hotel is our Après Beach Jacuzzi which is open in the evenings to relax in and enjoy the stunning sunset.
All guests are invited to start their first night on Ios with a free welcome drink and a chance to meet fellow travellers in our friendly bar. None of our guests ever pay a cover charge at the famous Ios Blue Note, one of the most popular clubs on the island.
Some of the amenities which are offered here include 24-hour hot water, a new reception area with internet cafe, tourist information and information on boat and plane tickets, etc.
All guests are encouraged to make use of our free safety deposit boxes.
We also have an extensive travellerâ€s book exchange and no curfew or lock-outs to disrupt your night or day.
On your day of checkout we offer free left-luggage and free showers if you decide to go to the beach and have an afternoon or night ferry to catch.
After you make your booking with us all you have to do is either email or call us with your boat details and our driver will pick you up from the boat free-of-charge. Weâ€ll also drop you off when youâ€re leaving, which is also for free.
So don't waste any time, guys and girls - get booking! We hope to see you during the summer. And please remember to book early for July and August as this is an extremely busy period for us.

Directions
George and Irene Hotel is located at a distance of 3km from the port, 3km from the famous Mylopotas Beach, 3.5km from Koumbara Beach and 900 meters from Kolitsani Beach.
When you reach the ferry port look for the representative with the sign marked George & Irene who will take you by car to the hotel which is a ten minute drive away into town. Alternatively ring or email in advance and we will come to the port with a sign with your name.
