Karoopark Guest House

Karoopark Guest House is situated in the centre of Graaff-Reinet in an ideal location to soak up the relaxed ambience of the Karoo. Graaff-Reinet is the fourth oldest town in South Africa, everyone visiting it, remarks on the great ambiance in town.

Accommodation is available in the Colonial-style manor house that was built at the end of the 19th century. Today as a guesthouse, bed-and-breakfast accommodation and self-catering cottages are available. Shops, banks and historical places of interest are within walking distance.

Visitors can also enjoy tasty meals such as 'Karoolambtjops' in the A 'la Carte Restaurant and a range of other traditional Karoo meals are on offer by prior arrangement.

Withond, the house drink, is locally brewed at the Reinet Museum and no one can leave town without a taste.

Directions

If one was travelling from the direction of Johannesburg or Bloemfontein (the North), upon entering Graaff-Reinet there would be a Shell petrol station on your left and Caledon Street would be the road to your right. Drive along Caledon Street, past the Dutch Reformed Church, straight across the four-way stop and Karoopark would be on your left hand side, no 81.

If one was travelling from Cape Town or Port Elizabeth (the South), upon entering Graaff-Reinet, the Dutch Reformed Church, in the centre of town, would be unmistakable. Head straight up Church Street. The road naturally serves left around the Church and at the stop street, turn left unto Caledon Street, Karoopark Guest House is situated on your left at no 81.

The mayor coachliners travel through Graaff-Reinet en route to Cape Town and Johannesburg.
