Port Barcares is a sea resort 20 Km from Perpignan and 60 Km from Spain, on the Mediterranean sea front.

With the Pyrenees and the wild Corbières in the background, it's an old fishermen's village which presents you with a large beach of fine sand. Le Barcarès offres a 7 km stretch of clear sea water and the authentic charm of a fishing port on the same latitude of Rome and Ajaccio.

From May to September ' Le Pre Catalan ' welcomes you to a green oasis of palm trees around its heated swimming pool as well as a variety of entertainments which will keep you occupied. Ideally located with 250 pitches, just 10 minutes from the beach on foot and a few kilometres from the lakes of Leucate and Salses where various water activities are on offer.

Spend your days lounging in the sun alongside our swimming pool, which is solely reserved for our clientele (controlled access).

Around the swimming pool and the paddling pool there are easy chairs and chaises lounges at your disposal, not to forget the bar, the games, kiddies pool, small shop, Froggy's bar, snack and takeaway service, plus evening entertainment for adults and children alike!

Directions

By air: 15 minute taxi/car ride to le Barcares from Perpignan airport.

By train: Perpignan - 22km to Le Barcares (bus or taxi).

By car: Motorway A9 to Exit 40 (Leucate)in the direction of Le Barcares (D83) exit 9, D81, next exit on left (D90) under the bridge and 500m on your left.
