Den Heksenketel Hostel

We are under new management. We hope to return the hostel to its best! The bar is open and has been renovated.

'Den Heksenketel' is located smack in the middle of the historical town centre with the O.L.V. Cathedral and hundreds of restaurants, bars and cafés all around! The building is beautiful and is 250 years old. So, we need to tell you that the stairs are steep.

Walking distance from 'De Grote Markt', 'De Groenplaats' and the South district, definitely some places you should check out! The Metro system (underground) is nearby and very cheap and easy to use.

Our own café is the perfect place to meet fellow travellers, swap stories and taste one of our many famous beers!

We have strict house rules regarding noise at night. These are especially applied with groups. If these rules are ignored, we advise that this could result in ejection from hostel.

Upstairs we have two co-ed dorms with 4/5 bunk-beds in each, a bathroom and toilet at your disposal! Please be advised that the toilet on the 2nd floor is accessed by entering the bedroom. This will be changed in January 2010.

Breakfast is served from 9 am to 11 am and is included in the price. Reception is open from 9 am to 6 pm.

Curfew is usually 2/3 o'clock in the morning. Check out at noon.

From the Brussels airport:
Take the train for Antwerp from the airport and get off at 'Antwerpen Central?
At this stop there is also a metro stop (underground).Take 'tram 2' direction 'Linkeroever' and get off at 'Groenplaats'. When you surface go straight ahead to Reynders Street. First street on the right is 'De Oude Koornmarkt', second street is the Pelgrimsstraat where we are. Welcome!
