The locanda is situated in Liguria on the Tuscany border, our guesthouse is only 3kmfrom the costal motorway, between Pisa and Genova airports (Ryanair). It is also 8km from La Spezia (main north/south rail connection).
This is the affordable way to discover Liguria and Tuscany,a good location to get to the \'cinque terre\' and we are close to the sandy beaches of lerici ,also great to explore the main cultural Italian cities such as Florence, Pisa and Lucca.
We are close to the touristic areas such as Lerici, Porovenere and Lunigiana. It is also an ideal stop over on the north/south Italian coastal route. Nearby are many local restaurants serving traditional Ligurian and Tuscan cuisine.
Our facilities include large private clean rooms, most with shower/basin, 2 with large balconies and 3 large shared bathrooms.
The Locanda feels more like a hotel than a property with a friendly and relax atmosphere. there is a good local bus connection to la Spezia town centre(boats to cinque terra and buses to Lerici) also the rail station where you can take trains to cinque terre.

By Bus:
La Spezia Station, then take a bus or taxi to Piano Di Valeriano.The bus stop is situated right outside the station, take number C for PIANO DI FOLLO (written on front of bus) takes 25-30 mins circa,you can ask the driver to indicate arrival at PIANO DI VALERIANO the hotel is here! After La Spezia bus passes through BOTTAGNA (village), after 500m bus turn left to PIANO DI FOLLO (there is a house a junction in middle of road) , after 50m bus pass a petrol station on the right bus stop is 20 m after. Locanda is situated on the right.(sighnposted ristorante degli artisti/Locanda la pergola). We are situated one minute from the bus stop, in the centre of the village and is the only hotel so not hard to find!
Bus tickets are available from the newspaper shop in la spezia station also tabacco shops,03 is the code/type of ticket needed for the journey,you can also buy them as multiple tickets..(biglietti dell'autobus)

If you leave the motorway at La Spezia turn off, continue following the spezia sign onto the superstrada, take the first exit (VEZZANO LIGURE) ,as you leave the exit ramp turn left and take the next left turn (CEPARANA, PIANO DI FOLLO, PIANO DI VALERIANO) continue straight down this road through
BOTTAGNA(village) ,after 500m turn left to PIANO DI FOLLO (there is a house a junction in middle of road), take the first right after the gas station and the Locanda is situated 100m on the right.(sighnposted ristorante degli artisti/locanda la pergola)
