Oleander Apartments in Platanes near Rethymnon offer studios and apartments for young guests. Platanes is a small lively town, 6km east of Rethymnon, at the 15km long beach of that area. There are a lot of activities for day and night, but also the possibility to be, after a few kilometres, in the real typical Crete with large olive groves and tiny small villages.
The apartments are situated in the middle of Platanias, the resort suburb of Rethymnon. Regular bus services connect to the centre of town (6km) and to Iraklion. There are restaurants, bars, taverns, shops, super markets and discos within easy reach.
The sandy beach is approximately 150 metres away. During the high season a number of water sports are offered on the beach.
The studios,25 m/2, (one room) and 2 room apartments, 36 m/2, are attractively furnished and are equipped with a kitchen area, bath/WC, telephone, radio and balcony,aircondition and TV at extra charge.
The hinterland of Rethymnon presents many most scenic regions and interesting sites for excursions. There are a lot of activities in the area, including water sports at the beach, mini-golf, tennis, mountain biking and diving. We have bicycle rental for you to explore the area.
The mediaeval old town of Rethymno, with its narrow streets, Venetian palaces and Turkish minarets has a distinct atmosphere. The oriental flavour of the town brings to life the ever chang ing history since ancient times. Along with the numerous seemingly unlimited sights to see and the beautiful old town, with the Venetian 'Fortezza' or fortress, the scenic harbour, and the many enticing tavernas, cafes and restaurants with wonderful Cretan delicacies, Rethymno has one of the most magnificent fine sandy beaches, which stretches to the east almost as far as the eye can see.

Directions

The buses that run in our area are those which have direction to Anogia. (Green Buses). The bus station is situated in Chanioporta of Heraklion. For your best convenience it is better to rent a car or to use a taxi.
